Coming off the bye with Bennett and Carimi coming back is huge for the bears. Carimi especially, as it makes Spencer or Louis into a very valuable swingman for the line, and further diminishes any role Omiyale has on the line. Bennett coming back is big for 3rd down conversions, although it probably means less snaps for Sanzenbacher. The defense gets valuable time to rest up as well. I think the Bears have a very good shot of getting the wildcard at this point. It is in their hands, they need to play solid defense like they have been, and keep feeding the forte beast on offense.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 07:52 AM) Washington started the screw-ups in the 8th. Murphy can't hit lefties, there is absolutely zero reason to keep him in to face Scrabble. They got a lucky bounce so it worked out. Then I don't care what's going on with the bullpen phone, keeping the LOOGY in to face Napoli cost them the game. Run onto the field and stop the at-bat if you have to, get a righty in there! it would have been awesome to see TLR have a Bevington moment and come out and signal for a pitcher that wasnt warming

So i just read that they are going to attempt to bring the Dark Tower to the big screen still, except with a reworked ending. Thats just great. I love when you take an amazing set of books like that, and change the ending.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 24, 2011 -> 11:26 AM) Sorry if I ruined Dexter with my theory last week on that. Ha I dont think you ruined anything. To me, Dexter is going to meet someone else with a Dark Passenger, only this time the Dark Passenger is driven by something else, and that will draw Dexter in. Eventually we will find out how EJO 's character relates to the situation. I do believe he was a real person in Colin Hanks life, we just have to figure out where he fits in.

As good as Ogando was in the AL Championship series, he has been that bad in the World Series. He gave up the go ahead runs in the first two games and got Pujol-ed last night. And every time, he missed his spots badly, Fox has been showing his mistakes. If he cannot get his s*** together, the Rangers may end up with another also ran on their resume, because Ogando was the shut down bridge to Feliz

I think it was kind of funny that Punto blew that bunt when Buck spent the entire at bat admiring Punto for learning the fundamentals under Gardenhire.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 09:54 PM) 1.) I don't troll threads. I read them and comment like everybody else. I still can't believe after 10 years on here u say I am a troll. I'm a fan. Probably my lowest moment ever was when Jerry Dybber made that horrific blunder on the basepaths costing LaMarr Hoyt a chance to pitch Game Five and win game five. Sad, sad day. Would a troller remember that moment as such a downer?? 2.) Tony's great, but even the great ones can be second guessed. You must admit his decisions in Game Two look bad right now? What a "troller" remembers of any team is pretty irrelevant.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 04:24 PM) Thanks, fathom for the answer. Reasonable discussion. I just think it may be hard to bunt a ball thrown that hard. Even if he bunts it, it coulda been right to the pitcher. Kylie IMO you should know better as a mod than to start your post by blasting me like that. How does that add to discussion on a website by blasting me? Then I respond and it's a war that you started, not me. Your first paragraph is an invitation to a fight. Sad. I am assuming u are referring to my polling my friends in KC a few times about WhiteSox matters. If not, my bad. For what it's worth, perhaps LaRussa never would refer to him as his "closer" for that reason. That he knew there might come a time the former catcher might not have it and he might have to yank him. I am not a LaRussa hater. I think he's good baseball mind. invitation to a fight? a war? with you? lmao greg, please. listen, i know my job as an admin here(not a mod), and it is to try and make sure that conversation goes as smoothly as possible, argument or not. if you think that all of us dont see what you are doing and trolling threads like this and constantly questioning other managers decisions in an attempt to somehow justify Ozzies numerous bad decisions, you are wrong. its amazing thatyou can generate so many reactions to that statement and you pick mine as the fighting words. lol

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 01:09 PM) Well then leave my favorite manager out of it. Did LaRussa strip his closer of all confidence by yanking him last night?Did he f*** up going for the bunt against a guy throwing 100. Punto couldn't lay it down and tony basically gave up that at bat. The board has few threads in the offseason and the World Series is pretty compelling when decisions fail. Why dont you go poll everyone in St Louis and let us know. Or send Motte an email. How are we supposed to know if LaRussa stripped his closer of all of his confidence? the point remains, LaRussa consistently has his team in position for the playoffs. 10.5 games out, and his team came back and got into the world series. now, name for me a manager that could not get his team to come back from the same deficit in the same amount of time in an equally up for grabs division. btw, your consistently questioning other managers decisions and trying to relate them to Ozzie really is lame. The guy got traded for a lot of reasons, and not all of them were on the field.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 21, 2011 -> 08:54 AM) I'm not entirely sure but I think MLB either really doesn't like it or actually has rules against doing announcements on these types of hirings during the Series. I think the MLB doesnt like anything taking the shine off the world series. They were really pissed at Boras in 2007 for announcing that Arod was opting out of his deal

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 10:47 PM) I just watched the most heartbreaking video I've ever seen, a 2 year old toddler in China gets run over and while she's lying there bleeding, people walk by and nobody does anything to help her, then another car runs over her again!WTF is wrong with people! She's lying there outside a market and not one person helps her until her mother picks her up almost 8 minutes after she was first run over. Obviouslly I hope nothing but the worst for the 2 drivers as it was not a simple accident, the first driver just callously ran over her but the people that did nothing to aid her, I pray their souls rot in hell. I'm not gonna post a link to the video, it's on Youtube but it's really hard to watch. My heart goes out to that poor little kid, humanity failed you...RIP. i actually saw it on CNN, and yes it is horrible. The first guy on the scooter that drives past her is the worst(aside from the drivers). He looks down at her like she is just in the way like a piece of trash

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 02:44 PM) Saw Fight Club last night for the first time. We never finished the movie, but I was not a fan. It was weird and kind of confusing. I already know the twist ending (dumb girls), which just made it even more weird to watch because if he has two personalities, then how are people interacting with both characters are once? It would have made more sense for the rest of the people in the movie to only acknowledge one person at a time. Maybe it was just because I was expecting a movie just about people who started a street fighting club and beat ass all movie and not some twist ending movie about a guy w/ split personalities. I dunno, I just wasn't impressed by a movie that people my age cream themselves over. this post is cOld icE

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 02:10 PM) Yeah, wtf. It's not like Tebow contributed at all to this s***ty article. Here's an idea, f***ing ignore ESPN people, since ESPN sucks fat donkey nuts. Tebow made the mistake of... listening to his mother (who brought the idea of that Super Bowl ad up). I don't get the hate. The hate is not towards the guy, it is towards the hype and the unnecessary religion forced into the conversation EVERY TIME THE GUY PLAYS OR IS ON TV. Keown is talking about parables and verses and bulls*** like that, in the title game Brenneman is talknig about how you are a better person after meeting him. Im just sick of it. I ignore most of it, but now that he is the starter it is going to be a freight train until the end of the season. Fox, CBS, NBC, ESPN, it will all be the same.

Exotic animals escape Ohio farm; owner found dead
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 01:39 PM) And Kyyle goes with the hard sell on the "Man, this **** shouldn't be legal" part. I think a lot of the problem is regulating the back country exotic zoos and shutting them down. The cost of going after these guys far outweighs doing nothing, so they do nothing. There are a lot of these things sprinkled around places you never would have known. Hell, the place in Batavia was a 1/4 mile west of Randall Road, at the intersection of Deerpath and Main st. Literally right behind the Jewel/Osco plaza if you know the area. If this sort of escape happened in Batavia, it would be some bad news

Exotic animals escape Ohio farm; owner found dead
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 01:28 PM) So...I must say...before this story, I had no idea that such thing as a "Privately owned zoo" could even exist in this country. And on top of that, we appear to have had a large, privately owned zoo where one guy could do an awful lot of damage. And a guy who has had "Animal cruelty issues" for years, with the animals living in "Filth" according to ABC. Seriously...why the Hell is any of this legal? There was one in Batavia, IL, right up the street from me in high school The guy had a few tigers, lions, panthers, wolves and even a Liger, as well as many different types of deer species from around the world(Ibex, mule, miniature) and Bison and Buffalo as well. The place was called Land O'Lorin, and the owner is now in jail for solicitation of murder. I heard more than a few stories in HS that the big cats helped the guy dispose of a few problems

Exotic animals escape Ohio farm; owner found dead
QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 12:46 PM) And the ones in private zoos are almost always from the breeding programs, not captured in the wild. Which is why I felt the comparison was valid. They were not shooting from the population that is endangered, they were shooting animals where the most probable source is breeding programs. It still doesnt make the animal less endangered Tex, and it still doesnt make this any less tragic and stupid. If it came down to only a few wild animals left and a dwindling wild population, the zoos do attempt a reintroduction process as they are with the White Rhinos.
