  1. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 10:56 AM) They haven't released Zelda yet - that was a GC port. Jumping into the Wii debate - I'm very disappointed in how they set up their schedule of releases. Basically there's been nothing since Kart, Mario and Wii Fit that has been worth buying, and there doesn't seem to be anything in the near future (a new Zelda "sometime") I think the PS3 is going to dominate in 2009. 360 is over in terms of exclusive games, but the PS3 will put out Killzone 2 (i'm predicting it'll be the best console FPS ever... surpassing the overrated Halo) in Feb and God of War III in the fall. Not to mention 2009 MLB The Show. Add in Resident Evil 5 and it's going to be a fun year for gaming. Did anyone pick up anything good for Xmas? Something under the rader? I got World of Goo, a ridiculously fun and addictive Wii Ware and PC game ($15 for hours and hours of enjoyment). I also picked up NBA 2k9. I've been debating whether or not to pick up Rock Band 2. The AC\DC track pack would be awesome. But I don't really have enough friends that live close enough to play as a band on a regular basis, so I doubt it'd be worth the money. I just beat that game, and I CAN NOT WAIT until they make a full version of that game.
  2. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 09:52 AM) Which one of those is not like the others... LOL At the same time, does anyone remember how bad Kerry Collins was when the Giants got their butts handed to them by the Ravens? Now people are calling a Titans-Giants Superbowl
  3. QUOTE (Hawkfan @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 08:49 AM) What are you trying to say? that ben reothlisberger, steve young, peyton manning, eli manning, mark rypien, jeff hostetler, and kurt warner are flukes? Rypien, Hostetler and Roethlisberger dont belong in the same sentence as Peyton and Young, and Eli has had 1 and a half good years. Im trying to figure out the definition of a fluke here
  4. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 01:21 AM) Can someone recommend a small, live music (rock, indie rock) venue in Phoenix? I swear Leonard Zelig was out there for a little while, but I might be wrong. You might want to PM him to ask
  5. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 07:59 AM) This was a woman in her 40's with big jewelry and too much perfume, as I recall. I'm pretty sure she wasn't packing heat. I bet the guy in Philly didnt expect that whackjob to be packing heat in his sweatpants Although Plaxico Burress has glorified the sweatpants hiding place
  6. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 07:40 AM) I'd like to say it was the middle finger, but I honestly don't recall. I was just so livid. You better be careful with the finger trick. You might get shot doing something like that
  7. Was the last finger remaining your middle finger? Or your index finger?

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 08:44 PM) 'Slumdog Mil' is good, not great, but good. Winslet is in both, 'Reader' and 'Revolutionary' We know she was in both, we were debating which movie she had a steamy sex scene. Apparently it might be both
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 03:12 AM) Staring at a super bright lit cell phone in a dark theater that goes off every time there's a text, is really annoying AND rude. And there is that whole "Turn your cell phone off to respect the people around you" announcement before every movie
  10. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 01:26 PM) Don't hold your breath! I'm pretty certain the McCaskeys and Angelo have determined that the QB position just isn't very valuable. History certainly shows that to be the case... Winning SuperBowl QB's: 1) Terry Bradshaw (4) 2) Joe Montana (4) 3) Troy Aikman (3) 4) Tom Brady (3) 5) Bart Starr (2) 6) Bob Griese (2) 7) Roger Staubach (2) 8) Jim Plunkett (2) 9) John Elway (2) 10) Joe Namath (1) 11) Len Dawson (1) 12) Johnny Unitas (1) 13) Ken Stabler (1) 14) Joe Theisman (1) 15) Jim McMahon (1) 16) Phil Simms (1) 17) Doug Williams (1) 18) Jeff Hostetler (1) 19) Mark Rypien (1) 20) Steve Young (1) 21) Brett Favre (1) 22) Kurt Warner (1) 23) Trent Dilfer (1) 24) Brad Johnson (1) 25) Ben Roethlisberger (1) 26) Peyton Manning (1) 27) Eli Manning (1) Take away the flukey Johnsons and Dilfers on this list, and basically you need a franchise, if not hall of fame, caliber QB to win. I just want to know who the hall of fame/franchise QBs are on this list, because the back half is loaded with flukeys Plus, isnt the definition of a fluke basically a 1 and done?
  11. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 08:26 PM) I would have tried to explain it, but, as kyyle proved, it's something you're better off looking into for yourself. LOL, I knew it would draw a "huh?" And at the same time, its really the best you can do to explain them, it wasnt meant to make much sense.
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 07:23 PM) Yes, but what is it? little plantlike creatures. A large plant called an Onion shoots seeds out, and they grow really quick. Your character plucks them out of the ground and they follow him around and do things for him.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 04:30 PM) That's what you get for getting s***bomb games like Quantum of Solace (which I'm betting by the 360 rating of 5.5 just sucked across all platforms) that don't take advantage of the greatness of the Wii. My library is filled with great games that take advantage of what makes the Wii awesome. So what did Santa bring? I got blitzed by the 13 and under nieces and daughter Wii games, but its not that bad. Animal Crossing(with Wii Speak, which I fully intend to use when The Conduit comes out) Littlest Pet Shop(just dont She is 8 ) Wii Music (not as hideous as described, but not as decent/good as i would like) LEGO Batman(this one is alllll mine) Rayman Raving Rabids(Marioparty-esque) Nights: Journey of Dreams(no idea) Cooking Mama(lol)
  14. QUOTE (Hawkfan @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 02:46 PM) yeah when i tpyed it I thought it was stupid so i didn't want to claim the quote for my own LMAO, so you assigned the quote to the Dalai Lama?
  15. QUOTE (Hawkfan @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 02:30 PM) "if it looks like idiot and acts like one, it probably is" Dali lama I just searched this quote and didnt find anything linking to Dalai Lama. Strange
  16. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 02:17 PM) I have seen both Tony Dungy and Joe Torre yell at refs/umps. I have never seen Lovie raise his voice to anyone. I'm not saying he has to be an ass, or that he has to be so outspoken that it's borderline annoying. But guess what, get pissed a little when things don't go your way and your team might rally behind you. Or better yet, when you have moron players making moron plays, if you get in their face and let them know about it they won't make the same mistake again. Remember how many personal foul and blocking in the back penalties this team had in those early losses? Imagine if the coach acted like he cared a little instead of just staring at the f'n jumbo-tron trying to figure it out. Maybe Tillman's personal foul call in the Tampa Bay game wouldn't have happened. Im sure you are around him at all times to note when he does or does not raise his voice. And I have seen Jerry Manuel yell at umps too, and it doesnt change any perception of him
  17. I have heard so many different disc fixing "techniques". From waxing your cd with car polish, giving the cd the old *huff* and rub it on your shirt, a disc doctor, lens cloth, there are so many different ways to do it. The best thing to do is the buy a used one and bring it back and say it was scratched
  18. QUOTE (chiguy79 @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 01:46 PM) Lovie is another reason Ozzie is the best, Lovie = Jerry Manuel with similar results. I can't stand boring coaches, and then we wonder why the team doesn't play with fire...perhaps because the coach sleeps through the games. Take away the bears turnover ratio and we are a pretty bad team. Maybe instead of whining that they weren't paid enough in the off season the players should have prepared for the season. Someone had it right Cubs=Bears, both are too popular with no real competition to require them to win on the field. I hate hearing this reasoning over and over, its totally asinine. Tony Dungy won a superbowl with the exact same attitude, Lovie Smith took a team to a superbowl, and if you want to get into baseball analogies then Joe Torre won 4 world series with the exact same attitude, it has nothing to do with rubbing off on the players. The players are either prepared to play and the coaches put them into position to win, or they dont. Take away the turnover ratio and they are a bad team? Why dont you take away their run stopping and then they are a bad defense? Or maybe you could GIVE Orton a few more of those easy dropped passes and *voila* he is a better quarterback, because who knows, maybe one of those guys would have scored. I know for a fact that Marty Booker dropped at least 2 easy TDs in the endzone. Call it like it is, they were a largely mediocre team that couldnt get over the hump, and other largely mediocre teams went to the playoffs because of it.
  19. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 11:55 AM) I am hungover, any lunch suggestions? Depends on what kind of hungover. hungover and really hungry(not that hungover) and I go for anything greasy, usually wendys first hungover and its coming back up later and its ritz or saltine crackers for me.
  20. QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 10:08 AM) I read somewhere years ago that all the band members of Tool were gay so I have always thought it as true. I was telling someone about it and he was like,Oh yeah you didnt know that? So I guess I will stop telling people that they are gay.lol There was a lot of that going around after their first album, but it was all rumor. Im sure Keenan spreads a lot of rumors about himself and TOOL though, he likes to mess with people and keep his low profile at the same time.
  21. QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 09:47 AM) LOL,except for the fact that he is openly gay. Not true http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maynard_James_Keenan A good portion of A Perfect Circle's first album is about a woman he was in love with
  22. QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 09:30 AM) Billy Corgan had to have tapped that a time or two. You think? I dont know, BC is a pretty hideous dude, I would hope she would be up for the cooler ugly lead singer she worked with, Maynard James Keenan
  23. QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 08:48 AM) Its a guy singing with a weird voice. The chick is the bassist (which I always find to be hot when a girl plays base). I
  24. ahhhhh, fans that are happy the Bears didnt make the playoffs because they would be embarrassed. The season is now complete
