QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 17, 2008 -> 11:01 AM) I hated the first FF film so much that I have so far avoided seeing FF2 because the Surfer is probably my all-time favorite Marvel character and I don't want to see how badly they massacred him. Next to the 2005 crapfest, the 1994 Oley Sassone/Roger Corman never officially released version looks like a masterpiece. Hellboy II looks like it's going to be really good based on the trailer. You arent kidding. Doug Jones plays like 5 different characters in that movie, I think its gonna be a really good one too.

Sox hitters need more regular rest
QUOTE (quickman @ Jun 17, 2008 -> 07:10 AM) what does that mean? its a board, I am sure VAFAN is old enough to take care of himself, he doesn't need a lacky. You have done everything short of call him stupid in every one of yours and 29andPoplar replies. VAFan doesnt need any lacky, and I certainly am not any lacky, but your tone and 29s tone in this thread is condescending and completely offbase. I have teased VAFan in the past about his many different "break up the team, do this do that" posts, but never to this degree. Whatever, you guys are gonna do your ripjobs until one of you takes your suspended leave for taking it too far. 29andPoplar, you love to talk about the pack mentality, which is pretty funny watching you and quickman take a stance on a thread and take turns ripping on the author and the subject.

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Jun 16, 2008 -> 06:43 PM) Her value to that movie is not related to her acting her value did not bring the net value of the movie into the positive. Her acting and the movie was so bad that she became less hot in my eyes. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 16, 2008 -> 04:54 PM) Honestly, I couldn't think of a good #5 movie, so I picked one the was "decent". I dunno... Maybe Hellboy or Blade. Hellboy and Blade are much better than F4 ever was or ever will be. I think any one of the Superman movies (with the exception of the horrid Superman all about Nuclear responsibility) are better than F4 and F4 ROTSS

2008 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 17, 2008 -> 12:56 AM) I haven't looked, but see if the Cards site has what he did tonight. I believe its better than Vlad and Ichiro for sure. Not only does Ankiel have an absolute cannon, but he can throw it through the proverbial teacup. Somewhere along his strange baseball exodus/journey he was able to regain some sort of control. He may not be able to spot his fastball from a pitchers mound, but he can certainly do it from the outfield.

Who would you add to the 25 man roster
Now that Bavasi has been fired, time to start beating the drums for Ichiro

QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 16, 2008 -> 01:34 PM) Batman Begins is probably the best Superhero/Comic Book movie ever made. 1. Batman Begins 2. Spiderman 1 3. X-Men 1 4. Ironman 5. Fantastic Four 1 This list is null and void with Fantastic Four on it.

I was listening to K C Johnson the other morning, and he was saying that Beasley measured out at around 6'7" 1/2 at one of the workouts he has been to so far. There is a whole lot of 6'7" Forwards in the league

2008 White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 16, 2008 -> 05:02 AM) i was not speaking relative to win/loss record, but more towards the flawed design of our offense, as well as our hitters inability to adjust to soft-tossing lefties and crush anything that isn't a fastball arizona has a pretty well-rounded offense, they can score off the homerun and manufacture runs. this team seems to be shut-down rather easily, and has become more and more frequent despite facing teams that the rest of the league has no problems with. Arizona started off really hot, but they have really crashed to earth in the last two months( April 19-8, May 11-17, June 6-8). They also have a streaky offense, but it is due to the relative youth of the offense. Mark Reynolds (84), Justin Upton (82), and Chris Young (72) are all on pace for more than 150 strikeouts this year, yesterday on the Score they were listing home and away average and OBP and Upton and Reynolds were in the tops for home and the bottom for away. There are plenty of flaws in the Arizona's offense, we just dont have to watch it every day

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 12:58 PM) Giving him the US title his first match. IC title his first night on RAW. Angle with Flair and Orton. Come on, everything he had was a one night gimmick. The best promo he had going (with his bodyguard) got ruined by his broken shoulder. His angle with Flair and Orton wasnt anything but a push for Flair towards his ultimate ending. Carlito has been a jobber since he came to WWE, and he knows it.

White Sox loser
QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 10:24 AM) I think last night was just one of those games, right? And given what happened against a s*** Rockies pitcher, maybe the debacle in Detroit wasn't all due to the great Tigers pitching like some people here tried to argue? But people will jump down your throat when you dare suggest the Sox are "back to normal." Because, god knows, a team getting hot for a couple games is a much better indicator of their hitting ability than the previous 2 months of the season. As opposed to people jumping down your throat everytime something bad happens insisting "the sky is falling". Some of us arent all doom and gloom and like to think that there is a shot to win the division. Sorry to ruin your fun.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 08:14 PM) So, I'm sitting here listening to my ipod, and the Ghostbusters theme comes on. And it gets me to thinking, they're making all these sequels and remakes now. Why not make a third installment of this franchise? Give it a nice little wrap up, but leave out new characters and just run with the main characters (they're all still alive). I mean, I don't want to see Shia LaBeouf as Egon's son, but I'd like another Ghostbusters movie. They have tried multiple times to make a sequel, actually two sequels filmed back to back, but Bill Murray wont cooperate, he hasnt been interested. I guess the company that owns the rights is trying the roundabout way to find out if people are still interested. A videogame is being developed right now(I believe by Xbox, either that or PS3), and a new cartoon is being developed as well. If both of those do well I bet we see a movie within the next 5 years. edit: looks like the game is going for all of the systems http://www.ghostbustersgame.com/
