No way, that’s bucket list stuff. When I was in college I was (and still am) a huge fan of the band Hum. They came to Carbondale but I was only 18 still and couldn’t get into the bar to watch the show, but said to myself hey these guys are from Champaign, they will be back. well, they never came back lol. Fortunately, almost 30 years later I saw them at the Aragon this past May Always go to the show if you can!

I think what’s really fueling me during this postseason is that the Sox are handling two teams that are and have been their boogeyman teams. Houston was bad for most of the season and they took 5 out of 7 from the Sox, and honestly looked good doing it. Cleveland has been the grim reaper so many times in my lifetime, it’s hard to remember when they weren’t that team. just an incredible show of a team, they have just figured out the little things on the way of this season, and now it seems like every correct button is being pushed

Feels like the adherence to strict pitch counts kind of led us down this path. Nobody cared in the 90s, guys were throwing 150 pitch complete games and that’s just how it was. It started to change and pitch counts became a thing, and fans all started complaining about the lack of toughness of new players but what it really was, was teams trying to protect their investments. At this point it just kind of feels like a natural evolution to this point, teams are just trying to dominate sections of games with multiple pitchers instead of the entire game with one
