^^^^^^^^^^^ proof of rigged

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 8, 2016 -> 01:44 AM) How come there's been no serious talk of making sure the election is not "rigged?" The DNC cannot be trusted. They wanted Bernie out. They'll do anything including rigging elections. How come Obama isn't talking about making sure the election is fair??? Isn't that his responsibility when there's so much talk of rigged elections? Why would he say he has to make it fair? That is acknowledging that it is rigged, that is just ridiculous. He made his statement about it, he laughed at it and called it preposterous, which it is. The longer this election cycle goes on, the tighter gregs tinfoil hat gets

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 6, 2016 -> 02:05 PM) Yet you guys have no interest in seeing what he had to say on Hannity. The best and brightest cannot run for President anymore cause the media will not rest until all opponents of the favored Democratic candidate have been appropriately buried and tagged as nutjobs/totally unfit for office. I saw what he had to say many times, softball questions from Hannitty isn't gonna make me think he is this brilliant politician that you have convinced yourself that he is. Hell, you keep talking about this interview you saw where he was great and you can't even come up with a link, you just keep repeating "HANNITTY" like that is gonna make anyone say "oh s*** well that sounds legit"

Maybe Hillary should go out and talk truths like "electable" Trump. She can make fun of handicapped journalists and lie and blame the journalists for calling out her lies

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 5, 2016 -> 08:47 PM) I swear to god if Avi f***ing head fakes us all and ends up with a decent slash line (say 265/320/430) so we still really don't know what we have in him... It would just like him and the Sox to put together a total fluke of a second half so they bring him back next year on the 25 man. f*** that, we have seen him go on streaks before.

How much hope should we have for Anderson?

QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Aug 5, 2016 -> 01:43 PM) well a few years ago, Stony said Abreu was "far better" than Rizzo, so I don't know what to think. A few years ago, he was. Things change -
QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Aug 5, 2016 -> 09:11 AM) And if you think about it, who are the people reporting about the various problems (water leaking, rooms not ready, not enough food, etc. etc)? Reporters. Who have to live in it. So of course that's the first wave of stories. Not that it isn't deserved by any means, but Sochi was the same and after the opening ceremony we didn't hear a word about how they weren't prepared. Rio will be the same unless there's a major terrorist attack or criminal attack. I disagree, in Sochi it was "Will it be ready in time?", not "ummm, there is literally raw sewage flowing down a hill past the complex people are living in, into the water that athletes will be competing in". And the Reporters are not the only ones complaining. Athletes have been posting tons of pictures of their accommodations, and they are simply terrible. The NBA players got their own yacht to stay in because they dont want to stay in the olympic village. The australians had to stay in hotels that they had to pay for themselves, and then when they moved in, the place caught fire and everyone realized the fire alarms WERENT EVEN CONNECTED. I really think this is gonna be ugly, I hope I am wrong

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 10:44 PM) He was great on Hannity tonight. A brilliant surgeon is not an incompetent boob/clown and that's how he was portrayed. He was both a boob and a clown, and woefully underprepared as well as astonishingly ignorant of many things that happen outside the US. And yea, any presidential candidate that thinks the pyramids are grain storage for jesus should be ushered off the stage and onto Hannity, where he can be among the rest of the boobs and clowns

Gammons just said Moncada, Benitendi, Devers and Kopech were not available for Sale. LMAO, seriously, go f*** yourself Boston. I hope you flame out

I don't even want specific character archetypes, I just want good movies. That's all. It can be dark, it cannot be incoherent and jumbled, stay with a story and see it through. Batman killing people and using guns and Superman killing Zod doesn't bother me.

How much hope should we have for Anderson?

QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 12:35 PM) But he didn't adjust in the minors...at all. His horrible 4% walk rate went down when he got promoted to AAA and his K% went up. And now both are even worse in the majors. There's 0 progression being made. And it's not like we are talking about a guy not being able to hit a good slider...we are talking about a huge fundamental flaw and there seems to be no signs of improvement. If his walk rates were acceptable in the minors I wouldn't be making a peep out of this small sample size. But when there are obvious signs of failure in his future all the way back to A ball and nothing has changed since l it should be a huge red flag for everyone. Whether it's Anderson himself or the coaching, I have no clue, but it's a problem that doesn't seem to be limited to him either. The # of players in this organization capable of going up to the plate and having a respectable major league AB is pathetic. But hey, why point out flaws for this great franchise since all they do is make smart decisions and win...oh wait. Again you are critiquing his AAA numbers where he had all of 55 games. He is a hitter, he has never been a player to take a lot of walks, Im not expecting him to become a OBP beast because he never has been one. His adjustment in the minors was he became a guy who hit better after adjusting to his level. If you expect him to become a player that draws 50-60 walks a season, then you are gonna be disappointed. -

QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 11:26 AM) How did my post indicate anything negative towards a rebuild? Because I'm honest and realistic about the situation? Not like I bashed Anderson, just asking for honest opinions. If anything making a post about how our 1 and only hitting prospect is flawed should scream "We need to rebuild!" Of course every prospect isn't going to be perfect, or even work out, I'm well aware. If we are being honest then maybe we should give him more than 2 months to be realistic about the situation. The league will adjust, and hopefully he will adjust like he did in the minors -
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 3, 2016 -> 04:57 PM) I mean... this season... Start 23-10. Collapse on the field, and 4 - count them 4 - position players make their White Sox MLB debuts and get hurt THAT DAY. Two won't return this year. The curse of Drake LaRoche. I prefer to call it the Curse of the Taiwanese Whorehouse

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 01:48 AM) When are we going to hold our government officials accountable? They all are out of control. And our candidates? One is a pathological liar and the other is certifiably mad. And both are over 70. Where's the young blood, the new ideas? I want Jesse Ventura as a write in. I'll probably actually write him in. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Aug 3, 2016 -> 06:22 PM) Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I kind of liked BvS. It definitely wasn't great by any means, but I thought the overall reviews were unfairly harsh. Now, the animated Batman movies are actually really good. Have watched four of them over the past week. I believe several of these are on Comcast On Demand right now if you have some of the premium channels. The Dark Knight Returns, Under the Red Hood, & Assault on Arkham all are worth watching, especially if you have never read any of the comics. Looking forward to renting the The Killing Joke this weekend despite somewhat poor reviews. Agreed, their animated movies are top notch. I enjoyed Son of Batman, and the Dark knight returns movies
