Hawk's 2009 Quotes
QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 09:43 PM) I could really use hawk tonight. I have the MLB package out here and I have the Red Sox announcers tonight. I never appreciated Hawk until I moved 700+ miles away. When Hawk's gone for whatever reason, I think all sox fans will slowly come to this realization.

Freddy is starting.
Fake injury much? This is just us being afraid to put wise on waivers, and putting him on the DL until the rosters expand.

Favre Signing with Vikings today
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 02:20 PM) Wow. I hope he falls on his face. As a Packer fan I can't wait till he comes to Green Bay. We are gonna kick his ass. Well that's just terrible. Booing the greatest player your franchise has ever seen.

Stephen Strasburg
If they don't agree, can the nats draft him again next year? Or are you not allowed to draft someone you couldn't sign. If you can and I'm the Nats I tell him sign or well draft you again next year, and offer you less thus putting you at least 2 years behind.

attendance and revenue
Guys who cares about road attendance? We've yet to play in Boston, or New York and we play in the AL central where KC, Det, Minny, and Cleveland don't draw that well.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 11:20 AM) Another perfect example and reason that the league is in dire need of implementing a salary cap. In the past 9 years, 8 different teams have won a world series. In the last 9 years the patriots owned the NFL, and the Lakers and Spurs ran the NBA. So it's defiantly not dire.

QUOTE (tommy @ Aug 12, 2009 -> 11:59 PM) Can we say that Gordon is officially slumping *reverse jinx*? No he's just waiting for later innings to hit a bomb because he knows itll be more dramatic.

East Coast baseball bias
QUOTE (The Baconator @ Aug 11, 2009 -> 11:37 PM) Hell, I feel like half the time our games don't even show up on Sportscenter at all. There are times that I watch these live SCs and our game doesn't show up until the 3rd time around when they cut some stuff out of other pieces. That's right, I watch the same SC 3 times sometimes... Don't worry we've all done it

Chicago @ Seattle Gamethread
Thanks John, too bad the offense outside of beckham, and getz didn't feel like playing tonight. I hope Ozzie explodes in the dugout tonight.

East Coast baseball bias
Why did research have to be done on this? It's pretty obvious that on sportscenter the baseball highlights start with complete in depth highlight of the red sox and yankees, then they break down the pitching from each team and the divisional race. Then they show 30-45 second highlights for every other game in the majors. It's a joke.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 11, 2009 -> 12:28 PM) Didn't JR say nobody can wear #1 until Rose is done with the Bulls, or some dumb excuse like that? Pods wore 1 until Fields gave him 22

We love you Gordon, oh yes we do
QUOTE (earthshiner @ Aug 10, 2009 -> 11:38 PM) I didn't get one for this very reason, seems a lot of rookies change numbers before their second year meh its just a shirt, if it have been a jersey id be pissed Plus I get to wear a Beckham throwback shirt if he does do it now. Then again whoever makes the jerseys and shirts for MLB might not allow Beckham to change it because I'm sure they have a bunch of jerseys/shirts that are not sold yet and would become worthless if he changed his number.

We love you Gordon, oh yes we do
So does the man we all love give up #15? I hope not since I have his jersey shirt.

Official 2009-2010 NHL Thread
QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Aug 9, 2009 -> 10:51 AM) Sure doesn't sound like Kane to me.. but ya never know I guess. They said the fair was like $13.60 and Kane gave him $15 and then got pissed the cabbie didn't have to correct change... sounds really odd to me. I love when athlete gets upset about losing $1.40. What a joke.
