  1. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 10:12 PM) Once again, he did the same s*** with Santos vs Oakland. Man the f*** up. You're getting paid $15m per season to not pitch. Can't you buy some really expensive tissues and forget about it? I missed it with Santos, but that's inexcusable as well if that's what happened. It doesn't matter how much anyone is getting paid here. That's bulls*** from a teammate. I'd love to hear your reaction if he did it to, say, Buehrle, or whoever you don't hate. Because who he did it to does not matter, it's the principle of his actions.
  2. Brian, you're wrong on this one, AJ's actions are indefensible. I rip Peavy as much as the next guy, but this isn't about how he was performing, or AJ backers vs Peavy backers based on anything in the past. Here's what happened, I posted this in the game thread: When Peavy gives up that last hit, as Soriano scores you can briefly see AJ give the "get him out of here" heave-ho sign with his right arm and his right pointer finger extended. Then as he walks towards the mound, he's staring into the dugout just waiting, begging for the change. He basically showed Peavy up, and Peavy saw it. It started before they were both on the mound and Ozzie made the change. Can't really fault Peavy, that's not a good move by a catcher regardless of whether he should be taken out, you just don't do that.
  3. QUOTE (skidoochic @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:56 PM) I know you guys are all done complaining about A.J. but I think you are nuts. I was screaming at my TV to pull that idiot Peavy long before A.J. made the sign. Peavy is a huge waste of money. I say trade his butt and send Dunn and Rios with him. Maybe we could get some players worth something and with a little more emotion for the game - like A.J.!!!! Big difference between Joe Fan sitting on his couch yelling, and your catcher showing you up. Doesn't matter if he gave up 10 consecutive HRs, you can't do that.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:45 PM) Ugh, got to put the lefty away when you have 2 strikes. Thornton should have been allowed to start this inning, but oh well. Did you say you're watching game cast? It was literally a check swing that was perfectly past the mound, probably the gayest hit in the history of baseball.
  5. QUOTE (Mr. Showtime @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:29 PM) Good catch. My DVR wouldn't go back for some reason. I had the sound off and only looked up to see Peavy point and yelling back at someone and then they went to break. Yeah, you can catch AJ for just a little bit right after Soriano scores. You can see his heave-ho gesture enough, then see him staring into the dugout as he already starts walking out. Total dick move. It's exactly what it was.
  6. I think I got the Peavy/AJ thing, I rewound the half inning a bunch. When Peavy gives up that last hit, as Soriano scores you can briefly see AJ give the "get him out of here" yanking sign with his right arm and his right pointer finger extended.

I just feel like most wives would vehemently disagree with you, regardless of your reasoning. Also, I don't wear one, but unless it's gawdy, how does it affect typing? It's close to your palm, not the tip of your finger.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 03:56 PM) I'm so glad I bought a home in 2007. All that lost-house value is awesome. It's only lost if you're moving out from it anytime soon.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 04:11 PM) If I ever get married, I doubt I will wear my ring. I hate rings and necklaces and am just annoyed by watches. Count me in the jewelry is awkward group. Have fun telling your wife that.

  11. That's kind of the whole point of pick to click.
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:05 PM) Anyone Fair, plate is in fair territory.
  13. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:01 PM) One of the biggest horses*** calls I have ever seen. Oh well, at least we don't have to deal with Ozzie's s***ty managing anymore tonight! Then you don't watch a lot of baseball. That ball was fair, it was actually the right call.
  14. http://www.tvline.com/2011/06/the-killing-...spoilers-recap/ This doesn't reveal the killer or anything, just talks about next season/decisions that were made. If you didn't watch the last episode yet, don't click it.
  15. Well that was a weird ending. Richmond's going to die for something he didn't do. When does the next season even start?
  16. Wow, he's getting old.
  17. The whole thing is just ridiculous. Totally premeditated and would have happened win or lose. People want an "excuse" to act like idiots. Give them a big sporting event, a holiday, anything, and they'll take it. They want to use the excuse of "we lost, I'm pissed" or "we won, I'm so happy" to make their actions "OK" in their minds, even though no one is actually happy or pissed because it's not legit fans doing it. It's almost beyond comprehension that human beings could be this stupid. BTW, as for the picture Steve posted with the guy trying to blow up the cop car? Have fun losing your scholarship, ass clown. Olympics? LOL http://deadspin.com/5813155/look-at-this-u...-police-cruiser
  18. This was a great night for four reasons: 1) Canucks players and fans denied in their building. Wear it. 2) Me watching a Cup celebration and not having to wonder "I wonder what that feels like when it's your team" like I've been doing since I was about 4. It's a weird feeling. 3) Helluva career, Recchi. Class act, loved watching you play all these years. 4) Tim Thomas...you should have won the Cup and let the rest of the team share the Conn Smythe. All-time playoff performance. This was a s***ty night for one reason: 1) f***, no more hockey games to watch. Best 8 weeks of the year are over. Now what?
  19. This sets up for the best storybook ending of all time, ever, in the history of the world, and then some. I thought it was happening once Toews' shorty happened, but this is even better. Please write the last chapter, Boston.
  20. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 11:24 PM) I think some of you guys need to go find the definition of a bandwagon fan Oh OK, since you became a fan during the summer after the moves happened, you are a true fan. My apologies. Sorry for the loss tonight.
  21. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 10:25 PM) No. First of all, its hard to be a bandwagon fan before any games have been played.. secondly as I already explained during last summer, I am not a huge NBA fan and have really never had a favorite team outside of following the Bulls when they had Jordan due to my mom and being from Chicago and then following Orlando when they had Shaq and Penny.. I already liked LeBron and Wade as individual players as it is.. Um what? Also, LOL Lebron with your postgame presser. We all still have to wake up with personal problems tomorrow? That's your answer to that question? Will they throw another pre-celebration for next year's championship during this off-season?

What's the point of an expensive watch? Pointless.
  23. Naked bike ride? Wtf? Ugly s***.
  24. God f***ing damn it. Monday might be the first time in my life I don't watch the Cup presentation. Here's hoping they go get smoked in Boston and then choke s*** on their home ice in game 7. Now THAT would be a storybook ending to this.
