  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 03:15 PM) Speaking of the Hawks, I have finally gotten around to recording my DVR of Game 6 onto DVD, and the final call has to be one of the worst in the history of walk off plays. It is even more disappointing as time goes on. And there's nothing they could have done about it
  2. Peavy put himself before the team yet again. Gee, I'm f***ing shocked. Go away Jake, your bulldog bulls*** is beyond old. Stop hurting the team.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 21, 2011 -> 11:08 AM) Well I did not die, snb. So now who is the crazy one? Nice hat.
  4. Hey, last post as a single person for me.
  5. So this is what it was, top story on every news station: http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=n...&id=8312580 What a bunch of idiots. I wouldn't have cared if someone did run their car through there. They should have arrested all of them if that's what they wanted, and get on with it. Thing took almost 2 hours.
  6. There is some sort of pseudo riot at des plaines and washington right now. I'll be interested to watch the news tonight. Cops/cameras everywhere, traffic blocked, signs, etc. WTF There was just some fighting and people got thrown into cop cars. 20+ cop cars. Wow.
  7. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 08:39 AM) First of all, just to confirm, is this the lot: http://maps.google.com/maps/place?ftid=0x8...aAou8zQXygpSsCQ Secondly, how early do they open? The rest of the cars are planning on arriving between 4:00 and 4:30, but I could get their earlier to secure the spots if they open earlier. EDIT: Also want to confirm that the church is OK with people consuming alcohol in their parking lot. That's it. Not sure how early they open. On a busy game, that lot will fill completely. The earlier you get there, the better. 4:00ish area should be fine to get all of your cars in there and in the same spot. I wouldn't push later than 4:30. The sign says no alcohol, however security tells you on the way in just to cover it up, they really could care less. So either bring cups, or cover your bottle/can with a paper towel or something. Everyone in there is drinking and it's not a problem.
  8. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 07:28 AM) My extended family is attending the Saturday 8/20 game to celebrate my sister's birthday. We are arriving in several vehicles from various parts of Indiana but would like to park/tailgate together. My question is if there is any way to ensure that we can all park together, aside from having to meet up at some random gas station at some random Dan Ryan exit and then following each other to the parking lots? Yes you can, as I just did this a few weeks ago. Park in the church parking lot just east of the park on Wentworth. The price is the same as the "official" lots, they'll let you park on a perimeter so you can "save" spots for your friends (as long as they don't show up way later), and it's about 100 times easier to get out of that lot and onto the highway. It's something you wouldn't think to do as you drove by without a reccomendation, so here it is. Trust me on this one.
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 12:41 AM) Seriously, this team is drawing me back in again and that scares the s*** out of me because I know it's just going to end in heart break. Yup. Most White Sox baseball I've watched in a week and a half. Crap.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 08:49 AM) There was no evacuation. The storm intensified very quickly and no one was really ready for it. The winds shocked everyone. So clearly they should have been. This wasn't some fluke.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 08:49 AM) There was no evacuation. The storm intensified very quickly and no one was really ready for it. The winds shocked everyone. Could you not see this storm coming on radar? It'll be interesting to see all the lawsuits that come from this.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 10:51 PM) Well I was supposed to go to the Sox game today... but when your friends can't find you and you don't answer your phone because your passed out well then you messed up. f***in booze! The more things change, the more they stay the same
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 12:28 PM) Mine was always right arm out to signal the strike then close the fist like I am grabbing something, pull it back and at the same time punch with my left hand towards that side. I rock back when I punch. Weird, that sounds like my primary right now.
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 11, 2011 -> 07:11 PM) Play ball with a cop up here that worked on the Richmond arrest. Holy crap. Not gonna post here what went down, but could of been a lot worse if the police showed up 30 seconds later. PM me
  15. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) On SportsCenter this morning, Bobby Valentine said something about Hawk Harrelson, lights on the scoreboard at old Comiskey Park, and Tony La Russa with regards to cheating. Considering I wasn't born then, and have never heard that story, his comments greatly confused me. Am I missing something, or is Valentine just nuts? If you google Comiskey Park stealing signs, a whole bunch of things come up, all different sources. Pretty sure there are legs to it.
  16. I'm with this guy, it's perfect: http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2011/08/10/hog...-you-buying-in/
  17. Seinfeld (honorable mention to Curb)
  18. He's a f***ing clown, no getting around that. I don't mind if he gets into s***, he just has to take someone with him. Putting the Hawks on the PK constantly is unacceptable and will find him in the press box soon anyway. That's really the only thing I'm concerned about.
  19. Is your failure still greater than my biggest success? Enjoy prison, asshole.
  20. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 06:49 PM) Ask yourself the question: would I write this if the team was winning? If your letter is out of frustration tear it up. It doesn't do anyone any good including yourself. Now if you have made several copies before settling on this letter then do what you feel you have to do. I am a frustarted Sox fan also, but I don;t have a problem with Ozzie. I have a problem though with non-performing ball players. But, relaistically is there anything that can be done with them until after the season? Really? No problem with Ozzie? Wow.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 03:13 PM) Exactly. I'm a Big East guy so I won't have to deal with watching it. And NW isn't exactly a good program so all this would do is bring attention they otherwise would not have received. And make them more of a joke of a program. Not all attention is good attention. That court would be a joke, it's something a high school would even think twice about doing.
  22. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 11:22 AM) Those girls next to him are f***ing hot. Better look closer or edit your post...
