  1. A touch off topic... To anyone that uses NHL Network Online to see highlights...or uses the Blackhawks TV application...what do I need to install/enable to get it to work? If I click a box score, I can play the highlights in that small screen at the top. When I open the bigger window to watch any content, almost everything shows up, except the screen is just black. Clicking any other highlights does nothing. Also, the play/stop/volume menu bar at the bottom of the screen shows up for a second, then goes away. I installed adobe flash player 10 and nothing. Anyone know what's up? I can't get it to work in neither firefox nor internet explorer. TIA
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 17, 2008 -> 09:11 AM) How much better is Rose in all aspects of the game than Michael Beasley? What a great decision by Pax. I don't even see how that was a decision.
  3. Stupid penalties against a good team lead to power play goals, the end. And Huet wasn't particularly good tonight on 2 of em.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 02:18 PM) <!--quoteo(post=1793917:date=Nov 13, 2008 -> 07:10 PM:name=IlliniKrush)-->QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 07:10 PM) <!--quotec-->It all depends on what the goalie is giving you, and his strengths and weaknesses. Sharp was going 5 hole, if he scores there, no one is complaining. And unacceptable to miss? Cmon, you are better than this. Goalies stop more than they let in in penalty shots. Thomas proved he was very good laterally. There's no problem with shooting. Deking for the sake of deking is pointless. ...How did Kane score? How has Toews scored this season? Dude, I don't care what you say. The ability to score on a shootout is much easier if you get the goaltender out of his butterfly position before you shoot. Not making a move let's him control what happens. If you deke, you get him on his ass and have an entire net to play with... I want creativity like this insane goal. Wait and watch the slow-mo to see how insane it was... I know, it's ridiculous, and probably doesn't work 9/10 times. That one above was a joke. But seriously, deke some motherf***ers! Ideally I like deking over shooting, sure. However, doing what Toews has done what, 3 times this year? Scoring on the ice on a shot...works as well. If the goalie goes back in his net and cheats that way, you have to shoot. At that point, deking won't accomplish much of anything. You'd be dumb not to shoot with the angle you have.
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 06:49 PM) Are you serious? My Dukies are going to destroy the Salukies. Duke bball, USC football? I'm not the only one that notices this s***, right?

  7. Great game to be at, good effort even though the Bruins had the upper hand the last half of the game. Habby was oustanding. Sick move by PJ on the game winner. And yes, I was fine with Bolland, he's been sick in shootouts in practice, Sharp already missed, Havlat doesn't do much minus his backhand move, and Bolland's move was actually really good. Thomas made a great save to get his skate to the post in time. Thomas just saw the puck really well tonight, he was good per usual.
  8. That was some of the worst time management and play calling on a 1st and goal ever. The MNF guys were supporting it for the most part, which I was very confused about. Waste what seemed like forever, spike it to waste a down. Then run the ball with no timeouts, leaving yourself with one play, another run. So they could have had 4 shots at the endzone passing, instead they ended up with 2 run plays. If that's not enough to lose your pants, I don't know what is.
  9. Just another solid all around effort tonight. They are playing a good team game, lots of good puck movement in all three zones, and not giving up a ton of prime scoring opportunities at their end. Q has them playing well right now. Schedule the rest of this week gets tough - 2 of the next 3 are against a good Boston team and a ridiculously hot Sharks team. Will be interesting to see those 2 games with a St Louis game in between. Keep up the domination at home, go .500 or so on the road, don't collapse on the two long trips this season.
  10. Don't make excuses for s*** play, they'd be losing to a HS team with the effort in the 1st half.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 6, 2008 -> 08:53 PM) Why in the world would we b****? What other way could they have done it with the White Sox getting the home field advantage? Our record against the Twins was worse than the Twins record against us. So that would mean they should have home field. We had the same actual records. I doubt they would do record vs. own division. Basically, the coin flip was the only chance the Sox had at getting that game at home. Win or lose, you'll take it cause you have a 50/50 shot. If you don't, you'll have no chance. What would you take? 50% chance or 0% chance? This proves the coin flip system is stupid.
  12. Coin flips are dumb, had we lost the flip, people would have been b****ing forever about it, period.
  13. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Nov 4, 2008 -> 08:44 AM) They typically do blow dick on the road. There's a reason it's always among the top home courts in America. I think you missed the point.
  14. Yeah, they played that during the 2nd intermission, hilarity.
  15. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Nov 3, 2008 -> 03:03 PM) There was some study somewhere that showed that it provided the biggest home court advantage in the nation when you compare road with home performance. So they won a game at home? That's great, but it requires you to blow dick on the road, or you aren't really in contention for that.
  16. Yeah, that was a slightly enjoyable night at the UC. Holy f*** was Colorado clueless in their defensive zone, especially during 'the' shift. Finally Ladd and Buff showed up to help Bolland, who has carried the little production that line has had all year. Good to see them taking care of business at home, something they haven't done in years. Tread on the road, and that's how you do it.
  17. My God, I don't even know how people in Dallas can root for the Stars. Ott and Avery are 2 completely gutless f**gots. If you don't hate them by now (I have no idea how that's possible), watch below: OK and if that's not good enough, Mike Modano after the game, referring to Ott and Avery: "It's stupid. It's one of the more embarrassing things I have seen, on the ice and involved with the fans. In 20 years, I haven't seen anything like it. If that's what we're going for, maybe I need to find myself an office job." f***ing dbags. Ott running Habby Friday once the game is out of reach, classy style.
  18. TT fans, complete idiots. On another note, congrats to the team on the field.
  19. You guys are idiots, you can't score if you don't shoot the puck!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 30, 2008 -> 08:07 PM) Dan Bernstein?? I laughed pretty hard at that today.
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 30, 2008 -> 12:41 AM) With the improvements to the ballpark, increase in the payroll, and the World Championship, I can't imagine ANYBODY still b****es about the name change. I haven't heard a peep about it since probably March or April of 2005 to be honest, if not longer ago than that. I think he was referring to Cubs fans? Who, yes, still mock it. LOL.
  22. Well Selig said we would have gone into a rain delay for however long it took, so at least there's that. The rain screwed everyone up, and I think everyone did the best job they could in this. You had to start the game, you had to play it as long as you could, and then you had to suspend it when you can't go any longer and deal with it afterwards. I'm sure people will say this is a circus and blame Selig for something, but save building a roof in Philly in about a half hour's time, I don't know what else you're supposed to do.
