  1. It's the 21st century, and picture in picture isn't possible. And they went to the seton hall game on espn2 before they went to the illinois game. Stupid.
  2. The White Castle thing has been around for years.
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 07:50 PM) Okay, but what about Valentine's Day? Ask her where she's taking you for dinner.
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jan 28, 2009 -> 10:44 PM) Terrible play by Byfuglien to get Anaheim a shorty at the end of the period. He is either a terrible player, or just a lazy piece of trash. Anytime we want to trade him, I'll drive him to the airport for McDonough. Speaking of FA, I'd be willing to, with around $14 million in cap room, to give Havlat a 1 year deal worth about $3 and go hard after Hossa, maybe a 5 year $40 million deal like Malkin got. I like Buff less than anyone, but that wasn't his fault. It was Bolland's, end of story. No thanks on Hossa, where in the hell is that money going to come from? That would be an awful decision.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 02:15 PM) The Twins had every member of their 40 man roster attend their fest. It could be a nice thing for players guaranteed to make millions in this economy to make an effort and take a weekend and devote it to the fans. AJP won't be there because he's too busy going to the Super Bowl. I like AJ, but that is BS. It's their fault for scheduling it on super bowl sunday. If a guy wants to miss because of that, so be it.
  6. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 07:06 PM) Even those who use coinstar to donate their coins?!1 Why do you hate poverty? Doesn't seem like that's what you were doing, you said coins for money. Which is stupid.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 11:46 AM) You know banks do this, they don't charge you, and it's expected to happen there. Anyone who uses coinstar is a just plain stupid.
  8. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jan 22, 2009 -> 12:32 AM) The MVC is stacked this year. I don't care what the national pundits say. It is good from top to bottom. 16-3. Pretty solid record still. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jan 23, 2009 -> 03:36 PM) So you mean me. . The MVC is the only conference I follow. I can only compare it to previous years. ISU is still probably the best team in the league until someone proves that they can even hang with them at home. Road losses happen in this league. Even to s***ty teams. The Indy St. loss was bad but Osiris was sick. Without him and Champ playing well they are very average. Does not compute.
  9. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 20, 2009 -> 11:11 PM) It was full save for very few empties up top. The sideline students had to sit for part of the game for some reason and I think that limited how many they could put there. Sideline students have to sit for most of the game or the people in section A can't see over them. So they get yelled at to sit down by security. Rock was referring to the A section on TV side, with a decent amount of empty gray seats. There's always no shows in that particular section and those people never get up, make noise, or even wear orange. And it looks awful on TV. It's been an ongoing battle for years.
  10. Solid win. This team is just so much more enjoyable to watch this yearwithout 2 selfish players dragging them down. They don't have the most talent in the world, but they seem to be playing as a true team this year...without that they could easily be a s***fest again. This team is better than the sum of its parts.
  11. QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Jan 19, 2009 -> 07:15 PM) They are pompous jerks that no one should call or listen to-unless you like being told they are smarter than you Well, Bernstein is smarter than almost every single meatball caller that gets on the show. If fans weren't such idiots he wouldn't have to go off like he does. How many 'orton is god' and 'why doesn't lovie talk into the headset' calls does he have to take?
  12. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jan 19, 2009 -> 02:43 PM) I feel you on this one. I keep so much stuff around and I'm not sure why. Like, I got some chocolates in my stocking for Christmas and I kept the box they came in (even though I ate them all) because the box looked cool. As for t-shirts, don't even get me started. I literally have at least 20 at home in a box somewhere. Not to mention the others that just sit in my room here at school. I really need to give them to goodwill, but when I sort through, I always end up being like "well, I might still wear this..." I keep receipts too until I've checked them with my bank account to make sure the correct amount was withdrawn. Then I shred them. Not sure how I got so anal about receipts, but that's just how it is. I have about 150 t-shirts. There are some I haven't worn in years. My big problem is that I still wear state tournament baseball shirts from 1995, hockey tournament shirts from 1996, etc. They all still fit.
  13. Reddy I pretty much had the same situation 2 weeks ago. One cold morning car wouldn't turn over, no response. Took it in, replaced the battery, drove it home no problems. Got to work fine the next day, try to lock the doors, and there's no power at all. Car won't start again either. Hours later it started, though, with no jump. I took it in again to be safe, they didn't find anything wrong with it, and it's started fine ever since. I'm not sure what the hell went on, but sounds pretty much the same.
  14. NW pisses it down their leg to Purdue, loses by 2. Purdue 19th best team in the country? Right.
  15. Saying anything about the twins is ignorant. Glad it got taken care of, use some sort of a statistic to determine it, not what is the 10th tiebreaker in pony league tournament standings.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 06:40 PM) I hope they play in ND in late November next year. Either way, I'll be at the game and USC is going to beat the f*** out of the Irish. How's the weather in southern cal right now? Open your window and let me know when you get a chance. gO tRoJaNs!
  17. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 06:43 PM) I'm in a library in Champaign. Illinois still sucks. Wait, this is the ISU kid? Sweet.
  18. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 04:14 PM) True. The person below me enjoys watching bowl games. True The person below me has played pond hockey within the past year.
  19. I have two questions. Who has ISU played? Who has ISU beat?
  20. Defense and Huet were awful tonight. Huet with 2 quick softies to end the game, epic fail.
  21. Well this game won't be remembered well. f*** this
  22. They have to, it's only fair. Hawks played like s*** that period, wind will just be used as an excuse. Wind doesn't cause Brian Campbell not to turn his feet on multiple occasions.
