  1. Let's assume Floyd gets to about 110 after 6...who pitches the 7th might be Ozzie's most important decision of the year
  2. Blame ozzie, not griffey, period. It's like getting mad at mackowiak before - not his fault he was put out there when he's not a cf. Griff only plays where and when ozzie says, if he was used properly, no one would hate him.
  3. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 12:43 PM) This is where having 13 million tied up into 2 goalies is killing this team. Shanny is a perfect fit for this team, and I'm sure Bowman could work his magic to get Shanny to Chicago, using the Detroit connection. Put Shanahan on the 2nd line as a LW, and it makes this team a ton stronger. I know Savvy has talked about Toews and Havlat together, but my top 9 would be Sharp-Toews-Kane Shanahan-Bolland-Havlat Ladd-Konti?-Buff Still a little soft up the middle, but each of those 6 wings have 20 goal potential. Apparently it's more Sharp-Bolland-Kane XXX-Toews-Havlat

  6. What a loser quote. Yes, it is a failure. Plain and simple.
  7. QUOTE (Felix @ Sep 20, 2008 -> 07:55 PM) The Gophers have 4 times their win total from last year, woo Hope you enjoyed those wins, it's about to get ugly
  8. QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 20, 2008 -> 08:31 PM) Ok, fine. Use the extreme example. I'd rather see a 34-27 game than a 17-10, 3-2, or 14-6 game. The defenses are good, but the QB play is just pathetic. I guess I forgot the SEC is god in college football and it should not be questioned. I'm with ya. The defenses are great, no denying that, but the QB play is awful. Neither of these teams could keep up with Florida or Georgia if they score some points, let alone some other teams around the nation.

    i am drunk

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 01:24 AM) I know I'm drunk because I read that whole post. especially since I completely agree. Go BA! p.s. leinenkugel's sunset wheat tastes exactly like fruity pebbles. i swear. f***. SnB and I call it fruit loops beer
  10. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 07:01 PM) Deke the goalie, wrap-around, one-timer Me 100 , computer 0 We had a rule growing up and then in college. No wrap around bulls*** goals, or coming straight across the goal line. Play the game without using that crap, and you'd have some epic games.
  11. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 10:50 PM) Rushing the field after beating the #21 team in the nation, nice. They're all high, what do you want? I don't know if Stewart knows taking timeouts in football stops the clock, allowing you more offensive plays. No seriously, I don't know if he understand that concept. That was just brutal.
  12. You probably are a bit, I mean if you were to hitch a ride with a friend home, what do you think would be a fair price to pay them considering the cost of gas, and the fact that they are doing you a favor getting you home? At least $20? You could try that route as well - find someone that could give you a ride (you're welcome SnB). I'm unsure if there's a setup other than say Craigslist that arranges rides. I thought I remember something like that existed though...
  13. My freshman year I took the bus to Woodfield Mall and got picked up. Did this maybe 3-4 times because I didn't have a car at school that year. It was pretty solid and fairly priced considering the cost of gas. I think it was maybe around $25 when I was doing it. I never thought it was outrageous, but maybe it's just me. Picks you up on campus and then an easy ride home. Drops you off in the same fashion. You can also take the train, though I've never done that. I know some people that have done it though and it seemed alright. Little more of a hassle though, as you need a ride there, harder pickup if you don't live in the city, need a ride back to campus, etc.
  14. 2 best months are October as said above, and from the middle of March to the middle of April because of the tournament, baseball starting, and nhl playoffs going.

    Need Advice

Try to compromise. Birthdays can be celebrated other days. Games only happen at a specific time. She should understand that. Key word being should. You are only asking for a 3 hour window that can be made up elsewhere. But girlfriends are fickle, and sometimes you get f'd when it comes to this stuff. If nothing works, go with my motto. The Sox (or insert team here) were here before you, and they'll be here after you.
  16. There is nothing like a college football saturday. f***ing incredible.
  17. Richard as today's starter instead of Broadway. Vazquez will indeed go on short rest and start Thursday. What's really interesting is that Buehrle will then go Friday on short rest, and Floyd on Saturday on short rest. This is to get them setup to pitch in the Metrodome, on normal rest. This pushes Danks' start back to Sunday, a full week after his last start. It is also reported that he will be available today out of the bullpen. So if I have it right, it should look like this the rest of the way. For now let's just assume the last 3 games will matter and that we won't be throwing a 5th starter in there. *Indicates only 3 days rest 9/17 @ NY Richard 9/18 @ NY Vazquez* 9/19 @ KC Buehrle* 9/20 @ KC Floyd* 9/21 @ KC Danks 9/23 @ Min Vazquez 9/24 @ Min Buehrle 9/25 @ Min Floyd 9/26 Cle Danks 9/27 Cle Vazquez* 9/28 Cle Buehrle* 9/29 Det Floyd*
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 07:09 PM) Hoculi wasn't the ref that blew the play dead. I didn't have the game on with sound the whole time. Announcers sure said it was Hoculi though the portion I heard. "But referee Ed Hochuli blew his whistle, apparently ruling it an incomplete pass. After a review, Hochuli said that the Broncos would keep the ball because his whistle had blown the play dead. The Broncos got the ball at the 10-yard line, where it had hit the grass out of Cutler’s hands." http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/recap?gid=20080914007
  19. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 07:03 PM) Wasn't Hoculi's fault. He said it was a fumble after he reviewed it. Problem is you can't challenge that play because the whistle stopped it. NFL will have to make an adjustment in the future to enable the review of this. It's his fault because he blew the whistle and killed it. Easy thing to do there was let it play out. You can always go back and change the play the other way. Blowing the play dead eliminates that chance. And there's no way you can have the NFL change something like that. Once the whistle is blown, guys stop playing, and have to. Otherwise the whistle is useless. You can't have a ruling based on what you think could have happened had everyone not stopped.
  20. QUOTE (SnB @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 06:08 PM) I think I actually heard mass from him a few times. Easy to connect those dots.
