IU will probly make the tournament. And Purdue sure won't finish above them, they don't have the talent at all. Greasy i was at IU this weekend, was at your football game...i still think we will beat you guys next week though...though it's a tossup anyway.

I also agree it would be more fun/challenging to take a good team and bring it into the top 10 programs in the country, not bolt when you've laid the framework for such a program

Dicky V would disagree with you.... The Davis over Augustine matchup doesn't give MSU the advantage over Illinois, not even close.

Davis can't destroy Augustine while sitting on the bench going through child labor (or at least that's what it looked like last year)

I've said it before and i'll say it again...Weber needs another year or two to establish himself at a big program before he will be a 'great' recruiter. He hasn't established himself at the premier school level, so right now the program has to sell itself. If Weber can put up a good showing this year and the Illini go far i think recruiting will take care of itself. Comparing Weber to Izzo is just ridiculous as far as recruiting expectations goes. Oh and we still have McClain who is a pretty good recruiter...but i don't know if another change for a head recruiter is really necessary.

You barely beat Illinois, wouldn't be too proud of that. I for one have never talked up the Illini to win the national title, but i think a final four berth is a reasonable thing to hope for. Still glad you overrated Boilers lost. PS Shuf i don't see how you can say MSU is better than Illinois going into the season.
