  1. f*** the Twins Great wins both today and yesterday. Excellent pitching performances, and it's really nice to see the offense wake up
  2. He also chose some song from Dirty Dancing for his second AB, and then "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" for his third AB.
  3. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 08:24 PM) 0-11 w/ 1 BB for Alexei. He's been acting as if he's never seen a breaking ball before. It's really frustrating.
  4. I'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you
  5. Seriously? I worked with the Bees last summer when he was there.. seemed like a nice guy. This is a real shame.
  6. Now we just need Wise to be released.
  7. Ozzie is an idiot if he actually thinks that's true.
  8. QUOTE (almagest @ Apr 7, 2009 -> 04:27 PM) In an ideal world, I think Alexei profiles best as a #9 hitter. I wouldn't mind seeing him hit second, though. If Orlando Cabrera can do it, Alexei can do it better. Why would the ideal world have Alexei getting the least at-bats of all the starters?
  9. Dewayne Wise is bad and he should feel bad.
  10. It was 4-2. Nice to see an opening day win. Great job by Thome and the bullpen it seems
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 7, 2009 -> 03:34 PM) Whats his velocity? (I'm stuck at work). Gameday said 96.
  12. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 7, 2009 -> 03:27 PM) Jim Thome is the f***ing man. I can't articulate just how much I love him. Always have, always will. There is nothing I'd like more than to see him get a ring this season whether it's with us or another team he's dealt to at the break, he deserves to experience that joy before retires. But... he's not clutch!
  13. So I just got home from class. It's nice to see DeWayne Wise is the player everyone thought he was.
  14. My pick of MSU winning it all suddenly looks very bad Oh well, at least I was right about them being in the final game!
  15. MSU wins! My bracket is finally right!
  16. I picked MSU to win it all, so it'd be a shame not to root for them now.
  17. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 09:21 AM) I will forever remember Joe, and I thank him for his contributions as a White Sox player and a 2005 hero. That said, Crede can go f*** himself, I hope he does terrible from here on out, he's now the enemy. I don't know why any Sox fan would hope he does well, as that would help our nemesis do well. f*** Crede and f*** the Twins. We need more posts like this.
  18. Probably gave up too much, but definitely worth it. We have a real QB for the first time of my life, which is pretty damn awesome.
  19. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 09:40 PM) I think too many people are putting the White Sox defense under the microscope way too much. Chill out. I'm more than willing to cheer for Wise as the lead-off hitter, and I think he's the type of hitter we need. People need to stop expecting the Sox to get some Gold Glove caliber guy in Center Field. People may argue that Brian Anderson has a Gold Glove caliber glove, but I rather sacrifice defense for the offensive tools of Wise. Also, I think our lineup is more than capable of compensating for our defense. C'mon. We got God, Dye, Thome, Alexei, and we should have a bounce-back year from Konerko, a big year from Fields, and another speedster in Getz. That's 7 guys right there, throw in the consistent production from AJ and the extra speed element from Wise, then I think we have the makings of a fun team to watch. Be optimistic, everyone, and stop being a bunch of bellyaching wet blankets. I'm still waiting for a valid reason as to why putting Wise as our leadoff man is a good idea. Or is your reasoning just "stop being a bunch of bellyaching wet blankets"? Our defense is going to be scary bad next year until someone in our front office gets the memo that it's actually a pretty important aspect of the game, especially up the middle where we apparently feel content putting below average fielders.
  20. Wise hasn't drawn a walk in ST, so we decide to lead him off. Great idea! so long as he hits .350
  21. This is by far the worst news of Spring Training.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 12:18 PM) Jerry Owens..............................................he gone http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune....-white-sox.html Best news of the spring (although the idea of Wise starting in CF and leading off is very frightening)
  23. This was my first (and only) correct final four team
  24. This is a game I'll finally be able to watch.. looking forward to it.
  25. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Mar 25, 2009 -> 09:59 PM) SDSU really rushed the court for winning a NIT game where they were a higher seed? Ha, I just posted that in the NIT thread I can't believe it.
