I do. And Vaughn was STILL 36th of 43 1Bs with at least 300 PA, as the White Sox primary 1B. Granted they managed to also have #41 in Gavin Sheets, but it looks like maybe two teams had a primary 1B worse than Vaughn. One of them didn't resign their primary 1B. The other got more fWAR out of a 1B in less than 300 PAs than the Sox got out of Vaughn in 619 PAs.

Sure, but much like the Bummer trade last year, Getz doesn't seem to want to take chances on that. I was just thinking of the connection in the context of health, maybe that's why Vaughn?

I wonder if a guy like Vaughn got brought back not because of his talent or potential, but because unlike the rest of this roster, he just doesn't get hurt. What are we doing health-wise as an organization?

The Orioles absolutely failed by not taking advantage of a small window as a smaller market team in a division with 2 of the biggest spending teams in baseball by not getting a lot more pitching into the system to match their offensive window. It is a weird flex to make an excuse for this failure.

It would also be nice if local media thought to ask if the Sox were evaluating their teaching methods with this crazy amount of TJSs happening with this new staff. It feels like this many is a bit more than bad luck.

It's so bad, wins and losses are secondary. While important, I would even settle for seeing some basic progress for improvement. I want to see a smarter team, a healthier team, better line ups, best roster management, etc. 19 games into 25, I am not seeing any reasons for optimism.
