Very happy to see this. Was hoping Hansen would have been pushing towards AAA at this point of 2018, but stuff happens. Hopefully he steps back into where he left off.

This was quite literally the defense of the DNC you have given us on multiple different occasions. But as long as it is against the other guy...

The hypocrisy is amazing.

what was that about refighting previous elections?

The players given up were also way different which has a pretty direct impact on return.

The thing is we have had a pretty awful run of injuries to get here, starting with Charlie Tilson basically missing a year plus of baseball. Then this year our starting RF and LF are missing extended periods at the same time, as is our plan B CF in Ryan Cordell. Most teams would struggle with fielding quality in the OF if you knocked out 3 or 4 of their top 7 players.

This. Pretty sure it wouldn't fly with the union either.

It isn't easy to have a lower Ops then Adan Engel, but Thompson has done exactly that by a decent margin.

Nah lists of names are more fun

Even the Yankees and Dodgers have struggled with not being able to get their network on to the various carriers. With the Cubs ditching comcast/NBC, I can't imagine them being excited to not only lose them, but to have to pay network fees to keep them on tv.

Only if it is the Cubs.

Lol.

Steve Stone takes another shot at Michael Kopech.

Yeah, the Soxtalk jinx means the pen will now go into a 3 month long historical meltdown.

What? Who? Are you aching for the Charlie Tilson era? Can't enough of May? Cordell is hurt and out for an extended period of time, so it isn't him.

Just over the wires.

We have a system full of big time arms. It will be very interesting to see how they all shake out and who succeeds.

I really am surprised that it wasn't Eloy going up.

Sox are down about 20% YoY, with some obvious caveats. Even that considered, it isn't pretty.

If you believe in the stats, his numbers should be about two full runs better than they are right now.

The other thing is that the pen will be a whole lot more effective when they are covering 3 to 4 innings a night instead of 7 or 8.

One thing is painfully obvious with those numbers, our defense sucks right now.

All of those long suffering Golden Knights fans can finally rejoice!

2017 Davidson is better anyway.

Agreed, especially with the management team they have in place, they are completely risk averse when it comes to dealing prospects. I think there is a much better a chance a team on the fringe who is trying to grab the moment versus the Dodgers.
