The Sox adding a $500 million contract to a 50 win roster, with a $50 million payroll would be hilarious. We'd piss away something like $100 to $150 million of his deal waiting for this team to be decent again.
  2. That really feels like the point of no return.
  3. The Thunder spent YEARS trading off Hall of Fame players because they couldn't afford them. They are the poster child of successful rebuild.

    Those reports are non-existent.

Lottery ticket? Maybe if he keeps this up and doesn't strike midnight.
  7. A capital infusion for a team losing money may not look like extra payroll. It could also be going to a new stadium.

A few weeks ago this dude was free to the entire MLB and had to take a job with the Sox to get on a MLB roster, but in a few more weeks gets a real return? Pass whatever it is because I need some too.
  9. It is so vital for these kids to see the modeling of the work ethic it takes to absolutely suck at the MLB level on a daily basis.

  11. Want to say he was like #47 overall that year
  12. The CN Tower? That was so cool.
  13. They weren't going at 100% every pitch. Look up the average fastball over the years.
  14. Like is preventing smaller injuries actually leading to more large injuries from, for lack of a better description, because we allow it to get to the point of the body breaking down in big ways, that can't be prevented?
  15. With the huge number of major surgeries we have seen this year, I definitely wonder if we are running into some sort of unintended consequences, at best, this year. For all of the hate Don Cooper got at the end, his guys basically never had TJS, and we led MLB in least injuries over a very long term period of time.
  16. Yoan went through the same thing. Eventually if you aren't Steroid Barry they are going to make you hit. Guys have to figure out selective aggression and ambush hitting. Smash a few first pitch fastballs and that will quickly end.
  17. Stop personally attacking other posters. No reply needed.
  18. It's really not though. MLB is tough. Pitchers adjust. Then we see what the kid is made off.
