Sox Quote of the Day 4/23...
To be fair, the Sox have made it pretty difficult to watch this in Montana.

Roster movies: Quero, Benintendi to Chicago, Narvaez DFA'd, Jones to AAA
Well free agency doesn't typically go well when you are washed up.

Sox Quote of the Day 4/23...
"and I was dumb enough to say yes to this job"

Viewership
I think the bigger red flag here isn't ratings per se, but more of loss of audience and the huge loss of revenue that would go with it.

Yeah, whatever happened to that guy?- 4/22 Games
Is Rick Hahn back, or did he never leave?- 4/22 Games
I am sure it is the inability to stay healthy.- 4/22 Games
Taylor is a lot less exciting as a closer.- Bobby Dalbec added to roster, Meidroth to 10-day IL, Martín Pérez to 60-day IL
CHRIS GETZ GOT TO SIGN THE BIGGEST CONTRACT IN WHITE SOX HISTORY! THIS IS GREAT!- Bobby Dalbec added to roster, Meidroth to 10-day IL, Martín Pérez to 60-day IL
First they have to be ready to pitch in the majors, and I think that despite being at similar levels, that Hagen is probably a year ahead of Dutch.- Bobby Dalbec added to roster, Meidroth to 10-day IL, Martín Pérez to 60-day IL
Just based on getting the guy into the 100 pitch per game, 130-150 innings per season, we should be talking about September of 2026, or maybe even mid 2027. Hagen Smith at least has high level college experience working deep into games. Looking at his college experience he was going six innings most every start. He got over 100 pitches three times, and over 90 ten of his sixteen starts. I worry less about his conditioning.- Bobby Dalbec added to roster, Meidroth to 10-day IL, Martín Pérez to 60-day IL
This is the first time in his professional career he's been asked to carry his stuff into real starters pitch counts. He has gone 75/84/82 pitches in his three starts. Before this season his career high was 67 pitches in one outing. The 241 pitches he has thrown over three outings are 50 pitches more than his previous total over three starts of 191 pitches. Keep in mind he was also schedule to throw every 7 days last year. This is exactly why I was so skeptical about his being ready for the majors this year. He still needs some major conditioning even to be a 5 inning starter on a every 5 day basis in MLB.- Bobby Dalbec added to roster, Meidroth to 10-day IL, Martín Pérez to 60-day IL
The one dude we got who MIGHT have had some trade value as a flip candidate...- Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Getting Robert to a respectable trading value is such an important piece of the puzzle going forward. The Sox literally have no one else with star value potential. They already seemingly passed up a decent deal this spring because they didn't want to put cash in with the Reds. If his return is closer to Eloy than it is to Crochet, it does nothing to potentially plug a future hole. They have got to figure out a way to get Robert comfortable again.- Resilient White Sox/AL Central Attendance, somehow up 1.8% YoY for first 21 home dates
The problem is, this will not be short term. This is going to be the third straight year of 100+ losses, with a chance at two straight year of being the worst to ever do it. Next year already lacks the position player prospects to get much better, and with their TV revenue problems, I severely doubt they are going to go out and spend over that. Next year is probably going to be their 4th straight year of 100+ losses, with potentially a 5th on the way for 27 if their hitting prospects don't start to produce.- Viewership
I would hope our baseball people aren't out negotiating TV deals.- Viewership
All so Jerry can make a few more bucks off of us.- Viewership
Sure, but also the ratings had already collapsed last year.- Viewership
Again, take your own advice. If you want to post long lectures on how to act, you should probably be doing it yourself. Be better.- Viewership
I think you need some advice from someone who had deep thoughts on one upsmanships and personal digs.- Booser & Gilbert
Looking him up, it looks like he has way over pitched his stats because of a .118 BABIP. Looks like regression is probable, but it is nice to see someone overachieving. xERA 3.01 FIP 4.82 xFIP 3.53- Viewership

You keep saying this, but we are owned by a guy who literally had a stadium built for him in Tampa just in case he didn't get bribed with a free new stadium in Chicago... and is seemingly doing is again. - Fire Chris Getz
