  1. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 09:02 PM) He's also a dude that has a track record of not being godawful. I like David, the thing with him is apparently he just can't be used a ton. He really apparently has no day after day stamina. Also, he shags fly balls left handed, which is odd. Robertson isn't a very big guy. He also was injured right before the ASB, so maybe that is lingering to some extent.
  2. QUOTE (Lillian @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 08:37 PM) Can any of you explain what has enabled Shields to so dramatically turn things around? He has been terrific, after that brief awful stretch. His mechanics were a disaster when he got here. He has cleaned that hot mess up.
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 08:21 PM) Well, this buys James some more rope. I wonder why Carlos was pulled, unless I'm missing something obvious. Or Lawrie is going on the DL retroactive. With Lawrie not playing today again, this is a good call.
  4. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 08:03 PM) Yeah, this is Robertson we're talking about. The 5th or 6th prospect in a strong system is good enough as the headliner if we're not eating any salary. He has a year and a half of control too.
  5. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 07:59 PM) I trust Duke-Jones-Robertson more than a gassed 2016 Shields Typically, yes. The problem is all three of Duke/Jones/Robertson also are gassed from the last few days. Duke has pitched in 3 of the last 4, and 4 of the last 6. Robertson made 3 appearances in 2 days. Jones didn't pitch yesterday, but had thrown in 3 straight days, and 4 of 5 before that.
  6. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 07:54 PM) Probably overthinking it, but Sanchez was pulled early in the bottom of the 3rd for Delmonico. #HugWatch? Interesting.
  7. The Nationals have some guys even besides their top ones who could get a deal done.
  8. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 07:51 PM) Shields should be on a very short leash to begin the 7th With as fried as the pen is, I imagine they give Shields a little more rope than usual.
  9. Anderson has great range. He ran over there like everyone else was standing still.'
  10. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 07:16 PM) I think it's no replay after replay but he shoulda still argued it a little bit. Almost positive he tried that last night and they told him he couldn't do it.
  11. QUOTE (ecupittfan @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 06:33 PM) 30 pitches for hendricks is big this early. Get to the pen Yep, hopefully that pays off.
  12. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 06:03 PM) I was thinking about third / fourth parties throwing a wrench into the mix. I guess it wouldn't matter if someone doesn't get 270, the result will be the same. No third party candidate is going to get a leading share of the votes in an individual state in this election. None of them.
  13. Scot Gregor ‏@scotgregor 56s57 seconds ago #WhiteSox VP Kenny Williams very restrained when asked about Sale. Credited Hahn, Ventura for proper handling
  14. Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 10m10 minutes ago It wasn’t just the #WhiteSox. #Indians, #Rangers also objected to #Mariners’ policy on clubhouse dues.
  15. Dan Hayes ‏@CSNHayes 5m5 minutes ago Kenny Williams happy with way Rick Hahn and Robin Ventura handled a very difficult and unique situation with Chris Sale. Ready to move on.
  16. Dan Hayes ‏@CSNHayes 2h2 hours ago #WhiteSox for 7/26: Eaton 9, Anderson 6, Cabrera 7, Abreu 3, Morneau DH, Frazier 5, Shuck 8, Navarro 2, Saladino 4. Shields 1.
  17. Jerry Crasnick ‏@jcrasnick 2h2 hours ago Hudson has allowed 16 earned runs in 7 2/3 innings going back to June 23. His ERA has risen from 1.55 to 5.15 in that span. #Dbacks Reliever Daniel Hudson is likely staying put with #Dbacks at deadline. He's pitched so poorly, trade talks have ground to a halt.
  18. 670 The Score ‏@670TheScore 1h1 hour ago #Cubs DFA Clayton Richard to make room for Aroldis Chapman
  19. Bruce Levine ‏@MLBBruceLevine 59m59 minutes ago Chicago, IL Ronin Ventura asked if he wants to continue managing . " Lets get through this one first "
  20. Bruce Levine ‏@MLBBruceLevine 53m53 minutes ago Chicago, IL Ventura refused to respond to the Chris Sale assertion that he needs help players avoid promotional nights that disrupt individuals routines
  21. 670 The Score ‏@670TheScore 24m24 minutes ago Saying he was 'sleepy,' Aroldis Chapman can't recall details from crucial Monday phone conversation w/ Cubs brass
  22. Jerry Crasnick ‏@jcrasnick 23m23 minutes ago The #Reds have picked up the pace on Jay Bruce trade discussions. They're talking to at least 4 clubs. Seeking a top prospect in return.
  23. For the price of what is out there now, it would take too much to do, and I think that is honestly the reason the Sox aren't thinking of adding, and not because the team is mediocre.
  24. QUOTE (Tex @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 04:27 PM) What do you set it at? Or how about this, with the Green Party both major candidates will lose about the same percentage tio 3rd party candidates. With historically high unfavorable ratings for both candidates the usual supporters are looking for an alternate. I think the Dems are going to be WAY more loyal to Hillary, than the Reps are to Trump. Probably at least 2:1, if not a lot more.
  25. Squints ‏@yeagersaurus @barstoolWSD @Kurkjian_ESPN basicallyjust confirmed your reports on Bogaerts/Betts as the centerpiece for any Sale move on AM1000 whitesoxdave ‏@barstoolWSD 10m10 minutes ago Chicago, IL whitesoxdave Retweeted Squints I wasn't lying when I said this and again, it's why it won't happen
