Name Change? Anything else needed?
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 01:53 PM) I can't login unless I'm in incognito mode. I've deleted history, cookies, etc. Even incognito mode doesn't work all the time. It'll just keep repeating the login box saying error. This has happened to me before but not as prolonged as this. Does it work on another browser?

Robin Ventura sacrifice bunted with the 3 hitter in the 7th inning
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 02:33 PM) No problem with what Eaton said. He's the one playing and has been successful doing things his way. I've never watched him and thought he was unprepared for a certain pitcher/hitter. Realistically, I don't want my hitters thinking any more than they have to. Stats and strategies are for management and coaches. They might communicate to do something a specific situation, but players just need to play.

That is exactly what I would expect Eaton to say. The other guy I can totally hear talking like that is Chris Sale.

Byrd suspended 162 games
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 01:54 PM) yeah that seems like a bit of an overreaction to a 2nd PED test, but like ss2k5 said, at his age 162 games is basically a lifetime ban anyway And I believe a 3rd suspension is a life time ban, no?

Byrd suspended 162 games
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 01:34 PM) Talk about a guy that deserves a lifetime ban right now. The guy is scum. At 38 years old, this is basically a life time ban.

Cashing in on Todd Frazier at the deadline?

Nice work by Abreu to lay off of that inside pitch for ball 4.

More Historical Perspective
Also interesting... The Sox hit 14 points higher as a team in May, than they did in April (.252 vs .238) They also only committed 7 errors for the entire month vs 16 in April.
-
More Historical Perspective
At a mark of 28-25, the White Sox are on a pace for 85.6 wins, or almost exactly where Soxtalk predicted them to be this year. That is despite and including the horrible streak of ball in the last few weeks of May.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 12:49 PM) I think I'd rather have Gonzalez in the rotation than Latos at this point. Judging by how quickly he got yanked last night, the Sox are losing confidence in Latos.

Gonzalez gets out of it, but he is having a lot of trouble finding his release point consistently.

Robin Ventura sacrifice bunted with the 3 hitter in the 7th inning
QUOTE (Tex @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 08:44 AM) And you know this how? Because he doesn't go through the press and make this stuff public? It seems to me any decent manager learns to praise in public and reprimand in private. There are plenty of good reasons to fire Ventura, but keeping negativity out of the press shouldn't be one of them. This is why Robin is known as a players manager. He isn't going to make himself look good at the expense of someone else. He is going to protect his players instead of throwing them under the bus. Rick Hahn operates the same way. It why the John Danks move seemingly came out of no where. It is why despite Saladino is slowly and quietly taking time from Rollins, instead of some big speech publicly about Rollins needing to step it up.
