  2. I think he would like to realize some of that money up front for sure, but how much of a haircut is he going to be willing to take on his free agent years is the question.
  3. I don't know if WANTS is the word I would use, it seemed more like willing to do so if he got enough money up front.
  4. Baltimore has to worry about winning now. If they miss this window, who knows when their next one will be.
  5. It just feels like the same old thing with new marketing.
  6. lol, wat? This team lost 121 games last year and will probably come into the spring with less talent than the did last year. There will be no "compete right now" for the Chicago White Sox.
  7. Or, the Sox sign on to mediocrity (and worse) for long periods of time. I, for one, won't equate the Sox continuing to employ someone as them being good at their job. Call it the LaRussa Rule.
  8. I don't get either extreme for Katz. Crochet had a year, but the staff as a whole was pretty much expected or worse and balanced that out.
  9. I didn't know he knew how to do that. A+.
  10. And we waste 5 years trying to get the other 9 hitters around him.
  11. A 1:1 deal achieves nothing.
  12. If Texas gets another team they will complete the triangle. Plus when it comes to metro areas Chicago is much bigger.
  13. Honestly if Jerry wanted to move the Sox would love it, because someone would absolutely pay the expansion franchise fee to be Chicago's 2nd team.
  14. Today, not 20 years ago.
  15. Sure, but at Robert's peak, Chris Getz thought he could add utility guys to the roster and fix things.
  16. I refuse to take you seriously and waste my time acting like you are. Either you are a complete idiot about sports (to which we both know why you aren't) or you are intentionally playing stupid.
  17. It's not that complex. He is thought to own somewhere around 20% of the team. His tax hit will be a small fraction of whatever the final sale price is as he only owns a small fraction of the team.
  18. He does not own 100% of the team, so his hit would be normal where near that amount.
  19. This is where I realized greg was trolling us. Again.
  20. At a minimum you have to have two sets of PLAYS (plural) in place. If there is a sack, then this. If the play works, then this. NO one had a fucking clue what to do after the sack. It took them 20 seconds to get a play in. My high school can do crunch time better than this. And when you see your team is a disaster, call a time out AND THEN set the next two plays, complete with the important sets of IF and THENs.
  21. Wait til next year!
