  1. Images that precede fortunate events.
  2. Gladney was in that bucket of guys with some loud tool, but also some very flawed part of their game (most typically strikeouts or hit tool) that we were hoping would have a breakout year, but to a man never really did.
  3. I know we joke about guys never working again after managing the White Sox, but I hope this dude saves his money, because I can't imagine who could look at the nuclear destruction of a back to back playoff team that happened under his watch, and thinking that is who I want leading my 2 billion dolllar operation.
  4. Over 100 games under .500 in under two seasons. That is so absurdly bad, like it is hard to comprehend how hard that is to do. I might even be a bit more excited, but I am sure our choices going forward are either Montoyo or Tony's boy Schumaker.
  5. I honestly thought it would never happen. I don't really want to congratulate the organization for doing something any other group would have done months ago, but ok.

We refuse to adjust to 2024 and instead want to run an organization based on how the Brooklyn Dodgers and David Eckstein did it.

That is probably also fair. They don't have to throw him a strike because who is going to drive him in if he walks?
  8. He sounds like everything we hoping Nick Madrigal would be
  9. Indiana kid that won gold.
  10. I just couldn't put faith in the Sox to fix his flaws when so many other similar players have failed.
  11. That's not the BYOB we all hope for
  12. This sounds vaguely familiar for some reason...

It is probably some combination of A and C.
  14. And even many of those "safe" picks they are afraid to play.
  15. Hey look a RF making a good play!
  16. Ha, Mason Miller is back.
  17. And Quero has only recently gotten going again. He seems like a dude who needs an adjustment period as he had slow starts both in Birmingham and Charlotte, but hopefully at least his bat holds up. We could use him anywhere if he can hit, even if he can't catch.
  18. The first guy hasn't even thrown a pitch in AAA yet. Coffey could be interesting, and it wouldn't shock me if he is here in a month.
  19. He's literally still building innings after having Tommy John surgery in May of last year. He isn't going to go deep into games for a while.
  20. So who grabbed the A's at plus odds once Martin came out?
  21. This is probably closest to the truth TBH.
  22. Listening to a guy like Ptatc, surgery is a last resort that is used only if it has to be. The normal course of action is to try to rehab if it isn't a situation that mandates surgery.
