  1. I honestly thought it would never happen. I don't really want to congratulate the organization for doing something any other group would have done months ago, but ok.

We refuse to adjust to 2024 and instead want to run an organization based on how the Brooklyn Dodgers and David Eckstein did it.

That is probably also fair. They don't have to throw him a strike because who is going to drive him in if he walks?
  4. He sounds like everything we hoping Nick Madrigal would be
  5. Indiana kid that won gold.
  6. I just couldn't put faith in the Sox to fix his flaws when so many other similar players have failed.
  7. That's not the BYOB we all hope for
  8. This sounds vaguely familiar for some reason...

It is probably some combination of A and C.
  10. And even many of those "safe" picks they are afraid to play.
  11. Hey look a RF making a good play!
  12. Ha, Mason Miller is back.
  13. And Quero has only recently gotten going again. He seems like a dude who needs an adjustment period as he had slow starts both in Birmingham and Charlotte, but hopefully at least his bat holds up. We could use him anywhere if he can hit, even if he can't catch.
  14. The first guy hasn't even thrown a pitch in AAA yet. Coffey could be interesting, and it wouldn't shock me if he is here in a month.
  15. He's literally still building innings after having Tommy John surgery in May of last year. He isn't going to go deep into games for a while.
  16. So who grabbed the A's at plus odds once Martin came out?
  17. This is probably closest to the truth TBH.
  18. Listening to a guy like Ptatc, surgery is a last resort that is used only if it has to be. The normal course of action is to try to rehab if it isn't a situation that mandates surgery.
  19. Benny almost dropped that.
  20. I mean who are you sending out there to suck up three innings with a two run lead. This pen is historically bad.
  21. I have zero idea what they did, or did not do. What I am saying is I am not willing to believe them simply because they have sources, anymore than I am willing to give credibility to others in similar spots. Even being right in a particular case doesn't mean anything for other situations.
  22. This isn't even about the moves that could made this year. This is more about everyone in the positional group having one of the worst years of their careers all at the same time. This is about the most of the top positional prospects taking steps backwards, or not being ready for the majors. No one expected .500 this year, but this also should not be a 40 win team.
  23. Of course they would, but nothing they do has any affect on that. Short of that, they still have 24 hours a day to fill.
