Hearing the sales desperation should be telling them what the fans have been trying to tell them for years now. Their plans have gone off the rails and they have lost the fan base's faith and belief.
Nothing the Sox have done in recent years gives them any kind of a high moral ground in these cases. Their pattern of behavior as a franchise has been appalling and depressing.
There is a pretty ugly legacy off of the ice. Multiple domestic abuse charges, punching a cop trying to intervene in an abuse call, accused of saying that Hitler/Nazis had some pretty good ideas, DUI, etc.
If the Bears leave Chicago, the Sox are going to be able to do whatever they want to hold the City of Chicago hostage for any of their whims to do with a stadium. Losing two teams in like 5 years just can't happen.
