What do you NOT like about your candidate
For McCain I really hate the embrace of the right, and his movement away from some of the stuff that made him great in 2000.

What do you NOT like about your candidate
We always here about what people don't like about the person they won't vote for, so what about the person you are going to vote for? What positions, votes, ideas, etc, are you against from that person?

Would it improve the 'buster . . .
QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 12:08 PM) That was a good thread. Even still, people by now who post in here pretty often know who is a solid Democrat or Republican, who leans right/left, who has an independent streak, who is going to vote for whom and why, etc. yet you see ignorant comments like "you Obama supporters think" or "you GOP types are going to." That gives me a thread idea...

'Anonymous' Hacker Group Gets Palin's Emails
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 09:38 PM) So, just to change gears a bit, who else has a problem with the fact that governor Palin's emails being posted online is a bad thing but the government reading all my emails is a good thing and worthy of the support of both of our presidential candidates? I don't really like either one of them.

Oney Guillen
QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 10:25 AM) I fail to see how drafting a sucky minor league bench player unrelated to a member of the Sox organization instead of drafting a sucky minor league bench player who is related to a member of the Sox organization makes us a better, more successful organization. From the sounds of it, Lee Fischer was that guy this year.

The Economy, stupid
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 11:16 AM) I'll take a wild guess before I research it... is it the BMV in Mexico? If you really want to know, I won't spoil it for those who don't. I'll white type it... This quarter the US broader markets are down only 5%, which is the best preformance in the world. Places like Norway, Russia, and Brazil are all down 35% OR MORE, this quarter.

The Economy, stupid
QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 09:56 AM) All Kaperbole aside, I think that this is a much bigger issue of the structure of government being set up in the 1930's and not significantly changed since. You do have to have certain regulations in place - of course. But, many sides of this fence don't talk to each other and there are too many inconsistencies in the marketplace which allows for the manipulation you see today. I have said many times that the regulation of the financial sector are a joke.

Five Best Things Congress Has Done In The Past 25 Years
QUOTE (mreye @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 01:33 PM) The shutdown of '95. Government works best when it's not working at all. I was going to say that when I saw the title of the thread. Thanks for beating me to it.

The Economy, stupid
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 02:33 PM) The DOW was up over 400 points today (410 as of right now) at the closing bell. How the hell did that happen? Not at all. My fantasy about Congress leaving quickly didn't happen. They decided they were going to re-form an organization with its basis in the S&L mess that will buy and resell this worthless crap that is killing all of these companies right now. In case you are wondering, that mess only cost taxpayers $125 billion. Use a little inflation and multiplier, mix in all of the bailouts, and my silly little prediction of a trillion dollars is looking more and more likely.

For Minnesota to catch us now...
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 10:37 AM) Quite frankly, I disagree. We have a solid closer, a lot of power in the lineup, and at least 4 currently average or better starters, 2 of whom are quite young and have the sky as their limit at this point. And we have a freaking deity patrolling LF when he's healthy. You can argue over a lot of things, but talent-wise, with those key guys...this team is certainly above .500 if everyone is there. I think the big point is that going into the season, who besides Kenny Williams, actually saw the White Sox that way?

Obama scores HUGE supporter.
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 12:57 PM) So you are equating a campaign misstep with deciding not to have an actress with a terrible reputation be a voice for your campaign? Seriously, if you don't get it, you don't want to get it. That's fine.

Obama scores HUGE supporter.
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 12:54 PM) Right. And I'm sure if his campaign decided to have Lohan in the forefront you'd complain that she is a terrible example to children across America and he has poor family values and judgment. Why not, I get to read everyday about all of McCains missteps of the same vein. Has it stopped you and AHB from doing the exact samething?

Obama scores HUGE supporter.
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 12:53 PM) Actually it isn't even outrage. Its just a statement. There are much better things to be outraged about. Obama turning his back on more people doesn't really surprise me anymore. And as for the petty part, after reading the stuff that is posted and said by a couple of people, including yourself here daily, there really isn't much room to talk.

Obama scores HUGE supporter.
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 12:47 PM) And spare the fake outrage. This is very petty even for you. Actually it isn't even outrage. Its just a statement. There are much better things to be outraged about. Obama turning his back on more people doesn't really surprise me anymore.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 12:38 PM) You're seriously surprised the Obama campaign would like to steer clear from Lindsey Lohan? GMAB Using something he did as a reason? That's pretty two faced.
