  1. Get to know all of the FNGs
  2. More interesting to see the moves made to get here, the DFAs, 60 day DLs, etc.
  3. There it is. We are already down 100 million dollars on paper for '20-22. '23 comes out soon, and will the fall in attendance I see no reason to think that won't be another 8 figure loss. I am sure the real losses aren't as bad, but this team has seen its revenue dive hard the last few seasons.
  4. Its a shame he hasn't been able to stay healthy at all.
  5. I don't get why most of the things that bothered some people about Jason did, but that could just be me too.
  6. Ozzie is 100% right here. If he gets to .500 with this squad, he is a god.
  7. Yes. The man who made his fortune first in real estate isn't looking to capitalize on the last great and empty piece of real estate in the downtown area to capture a piece the the latest and greatest trend in baseball revenue of the ballpark village in an effort to maximize cash flow and cram as much value into the franchise before he dies so as to top off his legacy buried in real estate and cash... Nah that doesn't sound like Jerry at all. It's not like he just stood up and tried to sell this exact program to the people and state government. Nope, the Sox aren't involved at all.
  8. Neither did Sportsvision in the 80's, yet here we are in 2024 with exactly that in place in every single baseball market.
  9. AZ could definitely look to trade out to someone like Minnesota, but if AZ picks, they pick MHJr for sure.
  10. And you guys thought Reddit was good.
  11. Yeah, that would be great, but umm, sure.
  12. And we also don't have to crush them by publicly putting it all on one person just in case they do fail. It makes it easier to pivot without burying one dude, and it also reduces the need to have one guy potentially fail a bunch of times before making a move since he has the "title" of closer.
  13. This is what I am hoping for. Especially without literally no closing experience in the pen, hopefully a guy like Wilson, Kopech, or even Leasure steps forward to take it on.
  14. Thanks for the clarification. I had no idea of the split in treatment of funds. That is wild as hell.
  15. Have I got news for you.
  16. Free? Still too expensive to be subjected to the White Sox.
  17. Our optimism or pessimism means nothing here. It's all about the product on the field.
  18. 1. Not the White Sox 2. Not the White Sox 3. Not the White Sox 4. Not the White Sox 5. The White Sox

IIRC Nolan Ryan was the first to do it.

It's a non-guaranteed deal. He was absolutely in his rights to release him and contact him again. It's shitty, but it's legal. Maybe unethical, but absolutely not against the rules.
