Again, I would rather start Stiever or Reynaldo than Lynn on short rest after he has already had an injury this year. I'd rather lose a game now versus risk losing Lynn for an extended period of time.

Honestly? That's worse. He's already had injury issues this year. Even if you have to punt on a game using someone like Stiever or ReyLo, don't risk Lynn.

For a power hitter who has a lower OPS than Nick Madrigal, it would be nice if he could play a useful defensive position. He's terrible at 1st and the OF. Lamb pinch hitting means you need a 2nd sub for defense.

If a deal got done early and the Cubs picked up his entire contract? Maybe.
