  1. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 20, 2012 -> 10:11 PM) Long distance can only work if you plan on getting back together at some point, and even then it's hard. If you're both back home and have no idea what you're going to be doing next, then my advice is to just end it now We definitely plan on getting back together, but the problem is that there is no exact date at to when there will be a resolution. It's kind of wait and see right now, which is tough.
  2. Still a pretty huge crowd in the UC considering the conditions. Wow.
  3. I'll throw this out there: Got pretty serious with a girl last month. Thing is, we both graduated on the same day. She lives 4 1/2 hours away. We both decided we want to try and make it work, but being college grads and looking for jobs who-knows-where kinda makes things very uncertain. Saw her twice in the last month since we left, took her to a wedding and we spent the weekend together last week. Any suggestions? Long distance stuff sucks.

    Snowmageddon 2012!

Took my sister 3 hours to get home from downtown to the Southeast side. It's a 15 mile drive, normally takes 20 minutes.

    Snowmageddon 2012!

The roads suck. Rahm, where the f*** are the plows???
  6. Graduated college last month and have a lot of free time. I've been working my ass every day after I wake up and it just makes me feel so much better throughout the day. Been eating a lot more fruits throughout the day and Ive been taking Myoplex protein shakes after each workout. It's so nice to have time and motivation to work out consistently. I hurt my knees a few times during college and it always set me back even further. My senior year of HS I was about 6'4, 199 when I was pitching. 5 years later, I'm 6'6 and 235. I think it'll help me to not have a goal weight, but instead, have a goal "look".
  7. The only out of market teams I'm a fan of are in college sports. I like UNC basketball for obvious reasons with the Jordan connection. I'm a big Florida State football fan because I was a kid watching Chris Weinke and Peter Warrick absolutely annihilate the world. And I loved Bobby Bowden. I was a HUGE fan of the Kings back when Stojakovic/Divac were there because I'm Serbian. They were above the Bulls for a while. I liked them up until they drafted Demarcus Cousins. Now they can f*** off. My secondary teams that I kinda like/root for are the Giants in the MLB because of Bonds. I like the Ravens and 49ers for various players (Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Jerry Rice, Garrison Hearst).
  8. quickmeme.com, by far the greatest website on the internets.
  9. Eddy Curry with the worst outlet pass in NBA history. Impressive.
  10. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 06:47 PM) I'll take this over the usual "You know you can't fly right?" Sadly, a lot of colleges around the USA have competitive quidditch clubs.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 06:43 PM) There's plenty of dudes with athleticism who never made it to the NBA. This is a ridiculous post. There's way more skill involved in being a great wrestler. And I've never wrestled a day in my life. I can sure as f*** go out and play a pick up basketball game and kick some ass though.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 06:33 PM) No thanks. I've learned over time to pick and choose my message board battles. I'm not going to devote 20+ posts in breaking down why wrestling sucks and is not a true sport, and why basketball requires 20 times more skill. That's just a Baltaesque way of driving up your post count. Anyone with athleticism can be an NBA player (cough Tyrus f***ing Thomas cough). Not anyone with athleticism can be a wrestler. Get out a little more dude.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 05:54 PM) Sure. Wrestling is on par with Lacrosse. Just because you sweat a little doesn't make it a sport. Umm, lacrosse is absolutely a sport. And it's the fastest rising sport in the USA in terms of popularity. You're ridiculous. Don't ever knock lacrosse like that.
  14. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 03:26 PM) SoxFan1 really has to hate being a moderator the past few days. Haha, does it show?
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 03:22 PM) Except nobody called or even implied that so and so is an idiot. At least that's not what I'm doing. The NBA is funny because fans who don't have the slightest clue can still think that they know what they're talking about.
  16. This thread is almost as much of a pissing contest as the NFL thread. Jeez. "I think so and so is better than so and so." "You're an idiot. So and so is (insert absolute here)." "NO, you're an idiot."
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 18, 2012 -> 05:05 PM) Ruutu would get injured stepping off the plane. He played every game for Carolina last year and hasn't missed a game this year.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 01:17 PM) JayZawaski670 Jay Zawaski Lots of rumprs about the Hawks and Derek Brassard from CBJ. I would like the move, but remember how close to the vest Bowman keeps it. Brassard has 5 goals and 5 assists in his last 12 games, -18 on the year though. He's got a 3.2 mil cap hit. I also saw something about the Hawks possibly bringing Tuomo Ruutu back from CAR. He's got a 3.8 mil cap hit. 15 g, 11 ast this year.
  19. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 11:06 PM) Derrick Rose is too rich to be wearing s*** he bought off 111th Whoa, I went to school on 111th. It's the fashion mecca of the world.
  20. @scotgregor On his own, Dayan Viciedo has talked with fellow Cubans Yoennis Cespedes and Jorge Soler, trying to sell them on signing with #WhiteSox.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 03:30 PM) Doing what? Offseason conditioning.
  22. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 03:16 PM) So you're saying we only post about SF? That wasn't a knock on SF? You're not a child. You know what you're doing. Stop it.
  23. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 03:13 PM) Are you saying that we only post on this site about the 49ers? Or are you taking a shot at us because the 49ers haven't been much to talk about for 10 years? Not being sarcastic, I'm really not sure why you said that? You're baiting Bears fans and rubbing in the 49ers success like you're the Patriots. Stop it.
  24. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 02:56 PM) This was a great line, after all the rips against SF this year, I have zero regrets about ripping on the Bears Have they found a GM yet? Ok, seriously, this has to stop. NOW. The 2 49ers fans ruffling feathers, you know who you are and you've been warned. That's quite enough. No one heard you say a damn thing the past 10 years.
