Job Hunt Thread
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 10:50 AM) My major was Radio Broadcasting:Talent/Production. Out of college I was getting married in two months. I had two options: work crap hours for crap pay at possibly crap stations, or take a full time offer in IT for average pay. The choice was simple to me. If I was not getting married, I'd probably have given radio a try, but I needed stability. I love it too much, and have too much confidence in myself to no go through with it.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 7, 2012 -> 11:55 PM) My name is Jordan4life, and I would like to report that DeAndre Jordan has been a massive bust (save blocks) so far. Umm, for a 2nd round pick, I think he's done quite well. He's also 23 years old.

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 7, 2012 -> 11:58 PM) Classic defense vs. offense. Can't get any better than that. I have every confidence in our defense to hold the Saints offense. That Lion's D was horrid. Go 49ers!!! Ya, good luck with that. You need to be in Brees' face on every snap to have a chance. And you have to hit him...repeatedly. They're ridiculously dangerous because they're running the ball extremely well too. That team is HOT.

Shaw and Hayes were the only bright spots tonight. Good to see Kane score, but that 5-4 loss was demoralizing. Tying it up late then giving up a late PK to lose it. The defense was simply atrocious all night. Our biggest need is pretty clear right now, especially with Montador out.

Shaw got his face smashed by Rinaldo. Badly. Apparently they played each other back in the OHL and it goes back to that. Went to the lockerroom, got stitched up and came back on the ice. Hayes looking really good so far. Not much Olsen yet.

Another White Sox / Blue Jays trade on the horizon?
So.....has anyone reliable actually said anything about this? Heyman? Rosenthal? Anything other than a teenager with 12 followers on Twitter?

I'm so pissed that the Bears finished 8-8 now. We're likely out of the running for Blackmon, Floyd and Jeffery.

Jimmy Hayes doing what I wish the rest of the Hawks would do more often: put the puck on the damn net. Gets his 1st career NHL goal.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 10:09 PM) Well we don't have to worry about Carcillo for a while. Suspension+ knee injury= a long time off. Knee injury looked serious. Wouldn't be surprised at all if it was an ACL tear. Looked bad, couldn't put any weight on it, and it looked extremely floopy/loose.

Great Winter Classic. Would love to see Hawks/Canucks in Soldier Field, but it looks like Wings/Bruins in Ann Arbor is gaining steam.

This is probably a very unpopular opinion, but I actually do believe the end of the world is coming soon, but I don't think it will have anything to do with the Mayans. I think it's just inevitable based on how f***ed up the world is.

QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 07:30 PM) Defensive POY is pretty tough. Patrick Willis, Von Miller, Ndamukong Suh, Julius Peppers, Clay Matthews... Who else? Suh, Peppers and Matthews don't even have a chance. Not even in the conversation, ESPECIALLY Suh. Willis, Miller and Jared Allen are probably the 3 candidates. Terrell Suggs could get some attention. MAYBE Charles Woodson.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 04:41 PM) Hamilton is goose dung. Marion brought athleticism, rebounding and versatility defensively. He could effectively guard 2's, 3's and 4's. Rip doesn't address a single need for the Bulls. Forget about the Heat. How are the Bulls better than the Knicks? Full year of Carmelo and the second best defensive C in the game > Boozer staying healthy, RIP. What in the world.........
