Hernandez(like Jarvis) is another guy who should clear waivers and thus isn't an urgent matter and could be a fallback position.

So White isn't suppose to say anything now huh, when should he say it after they've lost 4 of 6 on this road trip? After they've been eliminated from the playoff race?

Perhaps all that juggling has something to do with why Manuel's teams historically seem to be waiting for the hot streak that rarely comes. Certainly, at least one Sox hitter would find some comfort in batting in the same spot in the lineup each day. "I don't care if it's hitting second, hitting seventh, hitting eighth, whatever," said Jose Valentin, who in addition to batting second, seventh and eighth this season has also hit first, third, fifth and sixth. "Just one spot, all year, having consistency with something is a lot easier. "You need to get yourself in that situation every day. You hit in a different spot, you're going to find a different situation every time." That Manuel always has a reason for his constant tweaking doesn't mean much to the ones being tweaked. They'd prefer Manuel simply let the car warm up instead of always trying to tune it up.

So are you going to just release Jose too then??????

I'm leaning towards Brian Anderson, he's on a 1 yr contract, he's had a decent season and knows the AL Central, he's been in a WS and he's a lefty. Cleveland also wouldn't be asking the world for him either.

This was stuff White said on ESPN1000 last Tuesday.
-
Suppan with a CG shutout of the Cards, the price just went sky high.
-
We'll need a 5th starter Saturday so he won't get a chance to pitch again. FYI.
-
Until they've annointed you a "lock" it's always "What have ya done lately?", could you imagine Raffy Palmeiro not getting in? And yet since he doesn't have lock status they're still questioning him. That's just the way things are I guess.

Just because Scoicia has no class doesn't mean you can't make a statement!!! I'm sure Frank would love to autopgraph too!
-
I see your point MSF but in saying it your saying that ARow wouldn't have driven in those runs and I don't think you can honestly say that. Anyhow as I've said before, if Carl can help carry us thru that August schedule then it was a worthwhile trade. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
-
Frank!
-
i say he should do it if we win the division Nah, that would be too much like him and too obtuse. It's in playing to the spontenaity(sp?) of the streak and in the togetherness of the team/org as the other locks fall that would make it even worthwhile doing.

The same thing with DJ and that didn't work out too well either, I'd rather have a mediocre Porzio than a problem child thrown into the mix.

A good BP prospect who is in town this weekend is Al Levine. The D-Rays are in need of a 2nd baseman which plays to a minor league strength of ours. Not only is he just coming off the magical kind of WS run we are hoping for but he's a Park Ridge boy to boot

So who else loses some hair as we march towards 15 straight? JR might look good with a chrome dome, hell he's more than halfway there anyhow. Come on JR! Do it for the sweep of KC!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Wunsch may be back this weekend. Yea I saw Koch throw 95 mph, also saw Halladay consistently hitting 98, and the telltale, Buehrle throw two 94 MPH cutters in a row. I wouldn't put alot of stock in that Skydome radar gun.

Would we have this problem if Mark Mulder was talking about the Sox this way? Would we not be salivating over the idea? Would it change the way he pitches for the A's? Keep in mind that he is 4-0 with 2.09 era against "The White Sox".
-
I agree with much you said, I've just been biting my tongue holding out hope for him.
-
second time it has happened with f***ing detroit for him!! Yep, I was at the other game. At least there were fireworks afterwards though.
-
He's on par right now to what we got out of David Wells. I've resisted agreeing with ncorgbl on him because I still had hopes for this season, now that those are gone I don't see anything wrong with trading him. I definitely wouldn't resign him.
-
At this point Colon is our #4 and Wright is closing in.
-
Why would you want to trade a 23 y/o stud lefty for a 34 y/o CFer still owed $45 mil? Or CLee for Mota or Ponson for that fact? Borowski can successfully close but is probably better suited for setup in the long run, we have a closer who at the moment can't close but may regain his form later. He don't lose a starter from our lineup but we shore up our BP.
-
Ok here's a trade thought(though I'm not too keen on it) but we trade ARow and a prospect to the scrubs for Borowski and the scrubs send that prospect and one of there own to Texas for Uebina. I'm hesitant to trade ARow but it's more palpable than trading CLee.
