It was the Allyns not Veeck who changed the name to Sox Park, Veeck changed it back to Comiskey when he bought the team back in the '70's. Yes it would've been better if they had never named the new place Comiskey.
Yes all the Scrub fans I know weren't dancing over our injuries in '01 and I wouldn't do it when Lieber(another good guy) went down last yr and I won't now with CP.
Now if some future HOFer had an owie on his toe and couldn't play in the crosstown now that might be a little different but nothing severe like this.
So instead of making the right decision you become paralyzed with indecision and do nothing but lose the game.
Yep, that sounds like 2003 White Sox Baseball alrighty.
Well I think we've learned a lesson that with the players and managers voting it's more important to have a good start than were you end up at near the AS break. This makes sense in that they receive their ballots around June 15th and let's face it , on June 15th Frank didn't have the #'s to make it.
I find it curious that with our pitching in 3rd in the AL and our hitting in 13th that people would want to trade the little bit of decent hitting we have for some ?????able at best pitching.
That just flat out ain't true, is Standridge the D-Rays # 1 or 2? Buehrle pitched the opener for us so according to you he should be pitching against their # 1 or 2.
Yea just found that the selection show will be at 6pm cst on ESPN, my guess is that Frank will be on that 32nd man internet vote. He also may be in line for an injury spot.
Hawk during the telecast mentioned that ELo has received his AS invitation but he didn't say anything about Frank so I'll assume he didn't make it yet. Does anyone know when they're supposed to announce the teams today?
I have no interest in Ponson but that's just my opinion, Vazquez or Benson are who I'd like.
So far it looks like the D-Rays are as bad as us in trying to close out a sweep.
From the Southtown:
Sox official denied a report that the Sox and New York Yankees were close to a deal that would bring starting pitcher Jeff Weaver to the South Side for reliever Tom Gordon and minor league lefty pitcher Neal Cotts. He called it absolutely "untrue."
The report was published in the Newark Star-Ledger on Saturday, and ESPN also reported the rumored deal.
I want to see how this team plays against good teams....like the Mariners, A's, Yanks, Red Sox, or whoever else.
Well the early returns vs the M's, A's, Red Sox, and Giants is 6-13.
Blistering!
I would guess that KW reserved the right to trade any of those guys and thus give the Rangers motivation to makes their choices as early as possible. But then again we are talking about KW so who the hell knows.
I have only heard the July 25th date.
