  1. 2016. After the renovation. The entire experience of getting there and all was so uncomfortable and inconvenient that I will never go again. Wrigley is the worst. I will admit I haven't been to a Bears game in a while. I have no idea what the hell you guys are talking about with the traffic because going to a Bears game isn't any more trafficky or whatnot than going to a Sox or Bulls/Hawks game in a full house.
  2. Wrigley is in possibly the most inconvenient spot in the entire Chicagoland area for a sports stadium. I've been to more Bear games than Cub games and I absolutely despise going to Wrigley. You almost have to take the red line to get there. There is no other way. They could run a CTA Soldier Field express on gamedays, as the Roosevelt Red Line station isn't that far from Soldier Field anyway.
  3. Just think about a new ballpark on the lakefront though. The traffic would suck, sure.... but the beauty of it would outweigh the inconvenience. Wrigley sucks worse than Soldier Field when it comes to traffic and such put people still flock there.
  4. The best thing that could happen for Chicago sports is for the Bears to move to Arlington Heights and the Chicago Park District to renovate Soldier field to baseball-only in 2029 for the Sox to move into. Basically swapping sites for a public football/soccer field in the current location of GRF and a new Soldier Field that is baseball only in the current location. I've been wanting the Sox to play on the Lakefront in the South Loop for years.
  5. I'm totally expecting the Twins to sweep the Sox and then go on a run solely because I have PTSD from Sox/Twins over the years. (Note: intentional hyperbole)
  6. I'm going to say the same thing about Giolito that I said in 2018. The velocity is down, that means his delivery is out of whack.
  7. Yes. This is just the reality of good offenses in baseball. Good offenses crush mediocre pitching and struggle against elite pitching. It is what it is. Nobody hits great pitching consistently. You might have a handful of games where your offense crushes an opposing ace, but expecting them to destroy guys like Bieber, Cole, et al. is just unrealistic.
  8. That's true....you do need both. The Sox are 9th in baseball in runs scored and 2nd in runs allowed.
  9. That's what fans on the other side of town have been complaining about for years. It's what we complained about from 2000-2004. Corpseball! I think it's just a trait of good offenses.
  10. ^^^^^ I'm just glad that the Sox are getting 1 year of this Rodon.
  11. Man, Moncada is just scalding baseballs and they're going right at defenders.
  12. Scott Boras is seeing dollar signs. Rodon is going to get the Eovaldi contract. Glad we're getting one year of this in a Sox uni. Imagine if he signed elsewhere and was shoving.
  13. Hello zis is ze doctor......oh hello
  14. There aren't enough puke emojis for this thread.
  15. They talk about the 49ers having traded three 1st rounders, not two. Which is also incorrect. They traded two 1sts (22 and 23) to move from 12 to 3. They got one 1st round pick back in the deal, so idk why they talk about it as having traded "3 1s"
  16. Btw Moncada is about to explode, even if he had no hits today. He's smoking everything, just being kilt by the babip gods.
  17. Does anyone on this team know how to catch a pop up????
  18. Maybe Cease took Stoney's advice and put KY jelly on his balls.
  19. Fuck the Twins, always and forever. You hate to see it.
