QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 21, 2014 -> 08:40 AM) Huh? Was trying to get back to something at work and meant RHP with Dunn being a lefty.
-
I really think Pauly will be the odd man out opening day. Dunn at DH since it is a lefty pitcher and Abreu holding down 1B to start the season.
-
Just saw that as well and was going to post...interesting.
-
He's turned into such a headcase. Not too long ago he was going to be the next "big thing" in LA.
-
Love The Big Hurt! Congrats!
-
Could this mean we are trying to find a taker for Kepp and Elmore takes his spot?
-
Trayce Thompson appearance. HR #12 in the first.

QUOTE (KG#1 @ Aug 14, 2013 -> 02:21 PM) Son of a . . . I quit. Good to see you on here Kenny!

7 no hit innings wrapped up. Is it 16 games now for Jacobs?

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 22, 2013 -> 04:22 PM) BOOM Ryan Braun suspended without appeal: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/07/mlb-...-of-season.html Is Nelson Cruz next? Might they want Rios after all? WOW! I wish they would take away his 2011 MVP as well since he failed a drug test that season as well.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 28, 2013 -> 06:46 PM) Wilkins homer. Doing well at AAA so far. Johnson pitching ok too. Hopefully Hawkins didnt get injured again, but has has been taken out of the game.

QUOTE (QuickJones81 @ Jun 26, 2013 -> 11:05 AM) Here is a list of players on the move right now, both in a good way and a bad way. This is not the hottest or the coldest, but people making the biggest jump or fall over the previous 5 appearances. Up Jeremy Dowdy Andy Wilkins Marcus Semien Kyle Hansen Brandon Brennan Down Courtney Hawkins Keenyn Walker Miguel Gonzalez Jake Cose Storm Throne I don't have time to look it up right now since I am at work, but hasn't Keenyn Walker been putting it together lately after a terrible start to the season. I know in yesterday's game he was 0-3 but had 3 walks and scored 3 runs and had a SB or 2.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ May 9, 2013 -> 04:05 PM) Nah, those are after today's game. He's got a solid OBP (.347) when you consider that awful .222 average. And he is 8/9 in SB this year too. Would like to see some more power, but isn't BIR a pitchers park? It was known as a pitchers park, but during the offseason they brought walls in a little to help the offense. I remember reading something a few weeks ago that stated they were surprised that it hasn't really changed much from an offensive standpoint.

How often does a player have more runs scored than hits? Trayce has 29 runs and 26 hits this season. It is great to see that he is evening out his k/bb. currently at 28 K's and 21 BB. These #'s are more than likely from before this game was played today.

QUOTE (bbilek1 @ May 8, 2013 -> 02:35 PM) I said a couple of years for Top 20 prospect lists, not Chicago. Interesting either way. I am trying to think of the last South American player that has made their way to staying in MLB. The steroid era gave us production of Magglio Ordonez and Carlos Lee. Aside from that we really haven't had any big success. Fautino de Los Santos was a pretty good prospect. That's all I can think of... Is it a concensus around here that Ordonez and Lee were both juicing?
-
So is it time to say McCray is a legit prospect yet?
-
He is a notoriously streaky hitter. Hopefully he snaps out of this funk. It doesn't appear he will ever be what we hoped he would be pre-injury though.
-
Chuck Garfien @ChuckGarfien 4m In 9.2 innings, #WhiteSox reliever Hector Santiago has given up 1 measly hit. Opponents are batting .037, tops in the majors.
-
I want to see more GIllaspie. Especially with Kepp struggling out of the gate
-
He was God awful for the Rockies then finished up strong with the Royals it seems like. That is why KC resigned him.
-
Looking like a pitchers duel through 1
-
This pitching staff is rock solid. Love the bullpen.
-
Wow, love this! Locked up on the cheap for 7 years if you include this season. I realize there is a fear of injury at some point, but at least it isn't like Peavy's last contract where we had him for 2-3 years paying him almost $20 mil per season while not contributing a whole lot.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 14, 2013 -> 11:42 AM) She seems like the type of girl who would drop a boyfriend at the drop of a dime. It's pretty crazy, when I was about 17 Kate's family bought one of my best friends houses, I believe as a summer home. It was in Stevensville, MI, right on the shores of Lake Michigan. This was back in 2003 or 2004, and needless to say she was gorgeous back then too. His family only moved a street down so we would still go by that house frequently. Her uncle was also a state representative for MI. -
Bell can see gains already internationally

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 04:15 PM) I'm gonna snag that SSS article and post it in Pale Hose Talk, because it seems relevant to me. Hahn doing "nothing" is Hahn saving money so they can continue to incorporate it into building a minor league system. Absolutely love the Laumann quote too... And they really were drafting a "safe" player when drafting a guy like Jared Mitchell. He's got a shot to be a good player, but right now he screams platoon/4th outfielder. But Courtney Hawkins, Keon Barnum, and virtually the entire 2012 draft sort of signal that. I didn't see this comment until after I posted in PHT, but I was thinking the same thing.
