QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:41 PM) I think a lot of credit goes to the Blackhawks. Since they won the Cup, the Sox have gone 12-1. The only game the Sox lost was when the Hawks were in attendance, and the Sox just got too nervous from being in their awesome presence. 2.5 games back, WOW!!! You obviously don't give enough credit to the banner change at Soxtalk.com.

indeed. I mentioned it because he was going to use this as a solution... "A this point I am thinking I am going to fix my car and have it appraised and then to sell it back them to upgrade to a newer car." He may not hear good news on this. or he may get great news, I'm not a car salesman. It was just a simple observation.

I may be the only one, but I think you paid too much for a 2002 with 70K+ miles on it. I could be wrong but it seems expensive for an 8 year old car.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 12:59 PM) If the favored son tweeted that he isn't going to tweet any more about the Sox, that means dad and JR laid down some kind of law. Now whether Oz and KW can meet without punching each other is anybody's guess. I still say this is all about former big leaguers' egos. Oz was a much better player than KW and think he's knows more baseball than KW and they don't get along. Period. or KW is frustrated that he gave Oz the team he wanted and they perform like this. Then you add his kid in there... -

This is Lucy (Bassett Hounnd), Zoey and Sophie. Lucy is 6 months old and unfortunately not getting along with the pugs. I'm looking for a good home for her, free, as long as the prospective person agrees to have her spade and treat her well.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 10, 2010 -> 04:21 PM) You definitely sound like someone who's been hit with a taser before. yes...and it hurt.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 7, 2010 -> 02:30 PM) Its uncomfortable, but frankly, its less painful than OC spray, or being strongarmed, or beaten with a baton. To be fair, it depends on how many volts are being used and how long they keep it on you. Depending on both of those things it's very comparable to OC Spray. I think what needs to happen is good old fashioned policing. RUN and catch the criminal, if he's resisting then you use whatever force is necessary. The kid that got tagged in Philly was outrunning an out of shape police, making him look like a clown. I think it was done more for the cops ego than actually having to use that kind of force. How do you prevent this in the future? Fire the police that are too out of shape to do their jobs.

QUOTE (knightni @ May 7, 2010 -> 12:58 PM) The only way that it could be construed as torture is if multiple rent-a-cops had lit him up all at one time; or, if they tased him while he was on the ground or in custody. or if you light someone up when it's not necessary.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 7, 2010 -> 12:07 PM) No, not at all. The point isn't pain, and really it isn't that painful. The point is causing the subject to be unable to resist because their muscles are temporarily freaked out. not only is the electricity painful, when they detach the prongs it's just as painful if not more.

My old man past away last July from cancer. My moms friends threw her a benefit to try and keep her in her house. One of her friends contacted the Sox to see if they could donate anything for the raffle. They sent 4 tickets per game for 4 games. This organization will always hold a special place in my heart on a very personal level.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 07:22 PM) Dude just smile and nod. This cat sealed his fate when he criticized anyone who owned a jersey with a players name on the back. Stevie Wonder saw this coming...

QUOTE (hogan873 @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 06:20 AM) I never paid much attention to Mariotti but often heard quotes from his writing. Then I saw him on Around the Horn and decided that if I ever saw him in person I would most likely kick him in the nuts...only because of the incredibly stupid look on his face. I figure that if he goes down with a nut shot he wouldn't be able to say much, except for some squeaking and gasping. I know what you mean, this jerk off lives right next door to my in-laws.

QUOTE (CubsSuck1 @ Mar 22, 2010 -> 03:21 PM) The sense of entitlement here is laughable. But there's a part of me that can't wait for the reality show to debut so we can sit back and watch the soap opera unfold. laughable IS my favorite word ever, kudos for using it.

Very cool man, congrats!

We all want the best for our children, to give them the things we never had growing up (if you come from that kind of background). Is it the right way to parent? Probably not, but it can certainly be debated. More often than not, the kid ends up spoiled and with questionable values. With that being said, how many of us have experimented with drugs in high school? or college? I don't understand why we're getting all high and mighty pointing out anyone's faults or character defects. Ok...the Guillen family has some issues, what family doesn't? The new title is fitting, this is all a soap opera. Ozzie isn't going to start intentionally throwing games out of revenge and everybody's jobs will be assessed at the end of the season based on the results. It is, as somebody already mentioned, bad form to break down people in the organization based on rumor.
