  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 07:29 AM) http://sports.espn.go.com/videogames/news/story?id=4795625 I had no idea Jordan and Payton were a limited edition team. I thought Jordan was never going to be in it because of his licensing issues with the NBA Only for Wii?
  2. QUOTE (The Baconator @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 09:03 PM) If I was a Cards' fan, I would be very leery of this contract. Pujols, sure. But I don't think Holliday is worth that blockbuster contract. This smells a lot like the Vernon Wells contract, and if it doesn't pan out they could be handcuffed for years to come. Hey, if it does work, god bless 'em, keep the cubs down. But I have my serious doubts that Holliday is going to live up to this monstrous contract. I think Holliday will be able to produce since he's in the NL. I think it won't be a regrettable contract.

    Remember when...?

QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 12:38 AM) I remember when I had to have a pull over-Starter jacket. It was a must for 8 year olds in 1993. Easily my favorite fashion trend from this time. I had at least 3.
  4. QUOTE (Tex @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 11:06 AM) I thought the venues select how and who will offer tickets to the public. Some venues are "Live Nation" owned venues. For example, I know all the House of Blues venues are, I'd like to say all the outdoor venues in the Chicago area are as well. There was a pretty good article in a Rolling Stone that broke down who gets what from the ticket prices & convenience fees. If I can find it, I'll post it.
  5. I guess I'd give a slight nod to TNA tonight, but really both shows didn't do a whole lot for me. TNA had the Angle/Styles match which was very good & to me, as well as the women's tag match which was actually pretty good. I probably won't be tuning again to another TNA show unless there's nothing else on. Raw's best match was Kofi/Orton. They've still to put a foundation down for the Rumble. I enjoyed Bret, but everything other than that was the same old s***. Oh Brian, Christy Hemme > Velvet Sky.
  6. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 08:31 PM) Ugh. Val Venis. So was I the only one to mark out when he showed up? Anywho, due to the whole Bret/Shawn thing Raw has been better. For my first show TNA has shown me nothing that wants me to come back, especially that I see the nasty boys walk in. However, I will watch Styles/Angle.
  7. QUOTE (T R U @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 06:49 PM) Jeff Hardy is indeed there They just showed him pull up and get out of his car on the teaser for the show.. Im assuming this means that he did sign with them.. Early word is he's gonna debut in the cage match they have set up tonight. Also 8 women tournament for the title on Raw tonight since Melina tore her ACL over the weekend. So hopefully this means we'll get to see Maryse 3 separate times tonight. Draw back is we get 7 women's matches...
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 01:56 PM) I think the Rock waits until a little bit after he is done promoting his recent movie, maybe a little closer to Mania. That & creative is wanting him to come back to face Cena at WrestleMania. If that were to happen & Cena were to win, I just may riot.
  9. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 04:11 PM) Man, the rumors and breaking news are a-flyin' today! Source: PWInsider.com - This isn't 100% confirmed but apparently Ric Flair was spotted at Orlando's International Airport last night around 8PM EST. With the promo cut by Hulk Hogan earlier today on Flair, it is still possible he might appear on iMPACT. - Former WWE Superstar Brian Kendrick is expected to start with TNA soon. He may make his debut in the Steel Cage Asylum match for the X Division Title tonight. I had read earlier that if Flair didn't accept TNA's offer by today, they were pulling it. I know he was leery of burning a bridge with V-Mac, but the third wife costs $$$ and I doubt indy jobs pay enough for his liking. And the X Division is custom-made for Theeeeee Brian Kendrick. He'll do very well there. I'm a big Kendrick backer. I'm all for him getting more shine.

    Remember when...?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 11:21 AM) heh, remember when AOL chat rooms were the s***... and your internet would get disconnected when your mom picked up the phone? ah, the good ol days of a/s/l? & whatnot.
  11. RVD posting on a blog that he will not be at TNA tonight. Also, The Rock turned down the guest host job for Raw for next week's show.
  12. Jay Cutler. He probably has his 2 best games all year while I'm trying to win a league against knightni. Son of a...
  13. Cowboys clinch the East & pitch back to back shutouts for the first time in team history. It's hard enough to beat a team 3 times in a year, but now the 'Boys have gotta beat Philly in back to back weeks. Good game all around. I feel good about next week. *raises roof for NFC East title & a home playoff game*
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 3, 2010 -> 02:12 PM) You.son of a...... Sorry? I dunno the only women I ever remember from my brief periods of watching Impact are Love & I think Taylor Wilde is her name? But even that doesn't count because she was on an episode of MTV's Made. She was kinda cute. I'll make a better judgment tomorrow.

    Celebrity Crush

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 3, 2010 -> 05:42 AM) Anyone say that chick from the Progressive commercials yet? I remember once at a buddy's place, a guy once told us that he thought that the progressive chick was so hot. The rest of us had no idea how to respond to that.

    Remember when...?

Remember when MTV actually showed music videos?
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 3, 2010 -> 11:19 AM) Would love it if they did this. I will watch the first hour of TNA than go to Raw. I will DVR both. I won't miss a moment of either show. And Hizzle, you have never seen Velvet Sky outside of my avatars? I'm pretty sure I've caught a glimpse of her when flipping by an episode of Impact, but I don't remember her being that amazingly attractive. IIRC, Angelina Love was the hottest one in that stable. Tomorrow I'll give another shot to see what I've been missing.
  18. Vikings are a completely different team at home. Giants are getting pasted right now.
  19. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 2, 2010 -> 02:47 AM) When the Hawks win the Stanley Cup, the day after they win, the Sox need to wear the hockey style jerseys that Kaner is wearing in Steve9347's sig. Speaking of that jersey, where the hell can i buy it? I would pay a fortune for one. Pass.
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 2, 2010 -> 11:10 PM) Most will file this under the "Who Gives a F*ck" folder, but why does SNL showcase Keenan Thompson so much? He doesn't do anything funny and isn't entertaining. Bill Hader is awesome and is always in the background. Actually, the few times that I've actually watched SNL this season I've only laughed at the skits showcasing Keenan. Not sure if that's on me or on the rest of that cast.
  21. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 30, 2009 -> 04:54 PM) Wasn't that Brawl 4 All booked as legit boxing matches and they were ending in decisions and no knockouts then Bart Gunn knocked out Dr Death and they started pre-determining Bart Gunn knocking guys out...than threw him to the wolves at WM 15 against Butterbean. I don't think anyone thought Bart Gunn would have a shot. IIRC, it was set up for Dr. Death to win the entire thing until Gunn knocked him out. Then they decided to throw him in there against Butterbean thinking that he actually had a chance. That was the last we heard of Bart Gunn. As for tomorrow night. Yep, I'll be watching my first TNA show, that is until 8 when my favorite wrestler makes his return & hopefully it won't suck. I just hope TNA realizes that they can bring in all the star power they want, they still have to put out a quality product. Even though growing up on the original ECW, RVD & Heyman excite me. Same with Kennedy.
  22. Thoughts on 108: -Silva, you sir are a dumbass. You had Evans right where you wanted him & you decided to showboat? Dude, you weren't even close to winning the fight at that point. You had to go for broke & you did not. With that being said, I'm still not any more sold on Rashad after this fight. -Hazelett decided to stand with Semtex & paid for it. -Stout looked damn good in the fight of the night, Dos Santos looked good too but I wouldn't say a win over Yvel puts him near the top of the division.
