  3. Sad thing is, I bet there were at least 10 Koch bashers WAITING on his line like rabid dogs....I just don't get it, whats with the attention given squarely to Koch's failure?

    Let's get personal

Yeah, I don't know whats wrong with your dad....he's so stupid that he thought Grape Nuts was a venerial disease!
  5. Didn't figure it would take very long for someone to get the cheapshot in...Congrats!!!
  6. Hmmm...so, my sig is pretty huge...gotta fix that tonight...nice to see some fire from the Soxnet peeps on an off night
  7. SWEET!!! I woulda never guessed that there would be a thread about my boy Koch, where I defend him, it goes over 11 pages so far, and I'm not the one getting attacked!! Am I making more Soxnet friends, or am I being ignored? I guess either way, its pretty cool with me!
  8. AS most people on these boards know, I am the biggest Koch fan around. I still think that Billy can do great things with this team, but in all honesty, I think it won't happen until 2004. No one in MLB can retrieve 6-8 MPH by resting for 2 weeks. If he is still throwing 93-94 when he comes back for a few games, I still say shut him down, no off-season intensive throwing, and start fresh from Spring Training. The guy is a proven commodity, and once that once-surgically repaired arm is back to normal, the dominant Koch will be back.
  9. Thats right....Koch has been purely professional about it, and knows that he has been a huge disappointment so far. I'm not sure that 15 days coulda really helped that much, I'm for letting him have a shot, and if its still not there, shut him down until Spring next year....his arm has already been through Tommy John surgery once, he may need to give it a break for a bit.
  10. And yet, why am I not surprised by the course of action that the organization took in this matter. "We could not control" attitude... :fyou JR and most of the Sox regime
  11. The dreaded day game performance...my boy Jonny G getting NO support....after scoring 27 runs in 3 days.

Just put the guys that I have been big fans of since day 1....CLee was never real high on my list, but he's getting there....not really any room on there now anyways

    Thats beyond impressive to me...wow...
  14. Honestly, where was Hummel supposed to play in Chicago? He can't play SS consistently...we have Crede at 3B, maybe 2B...but I'd rather have Alomar back...
  15. His pitch count was getting high, mainly due to the AB Palmeiro had in the 1st inning
  16. My boy Crede playing well again...he may get up past 260 before the season is over
  17. Minny up 2-0, Bottom 1st, man on 1st, one out
  18. Hey Capn 12, i think you should look at your avatar, do you want more negative more than your avatar? Not being negative, just being honest with that pic....Colon is a pitcher that self-admittedly only shows up when things are good. He is not a team player in the definition of the word. I have no respect for a guy that only plays when he feels good things are happening.
  19. Well, lets not forget that Valdes is career 4-0, with a 3.92 ERA against our boys. BUT, Buehrle is career 3-0 with a 4.18 ERA....looks like one of those matchups where you gotta go out there and prove that past history does not reflect present performance. Lets get 'em boys....and tonight, we cheer for the Twinkies....that way we could have a 1.5 lead on Minny and 2 game lead on KC if all goes well
  20. I think it is VERY possible for Joe C to put up 275-280 BA, 20-25 HRs and 75+ RBI...added to the fact that he makes all routine plays in the field, and quite a few spectacular plays as well...I'm as big a Sargeant Joe Crede fan as anyone is.
  21. yeah...been keeping an eye on him and Reed all year....Reed is doing some incredible stuff in AA..well, all levels for that matter...to hit .400 with the number of at bats he has, he could be on the fast track, hopefully he won't die in the graveyard of once great prospects known as Charlotte
  22. I still find it hard to believe that a young guy with not overpowering stuff can walk the # of guys Cotts can, and still stay focused and pitch around it...although it won't always be the case at the MLB level
  23. Could be...skipping Cotts is a real possibility... BTW, Yasny...what does that name mean...i'm just intrigued
