  1. For those of you who think announcers aren't important, see, Caray, Harry.
  2. This is more a firing than Jason just moving to greener pastures. Toronto wanted to talk to KW about a job as their president. JR said no. RH supposedly tried to resign after LaRussa was brought on. JR supposedly said he would hold him to his contract, and wouldn't be able to pursue other MLB jobs until it ran its course. Detroit says, hey we'd like to talk to Jason.....the Sox don't ever want to hold Jason back, you should talk to the Tigers.
  3. When JR's network takes over the games he'll have Gordo, McKnight, and Mike Huff with his ridiculous beard.
  4. It won't, but it's a sign there is something so rotten, a lifelong White Sox fan with his dream job, now would rather be in Detroit.
  5. If my boss encouraged me to pursue a job with a competitor, I would believe he was trying to tell me something. The Sox statement reminded me of the time Ron Schueler encouraged Jeff Torborg to listen to what the Mets had to say.
  6. This guy was a huge White Sox fan. I can't imagine how much money he needed to make himself a Tigers fan instead. I thought unless he went Joe Buck and went national, he was in the booth for 30 years.
  7. Probably after an exhaustive search, they will decide on the very poor man's Chip Caray, Mr. Conor McKight, saying they did it for the fans. It would take at least a season for someone from the outside to get to know the team.
  8. To me, this is shocking. If it were to do the game of the week or something like that, it would be a different story. But while under contract to go to Detroit? C'mon man, there is some more White Sox dysfunction.
  9. Yeah, I don't know why Jason would bolt to Detroit. He loves the Sox. Loves Steve. Something had to piss him off. When he was just starting, I thought he was trying to do a 2 hour comedy bit in 20 minutes. But he grew on me. This is another Sox loss.
  10. The amazing thing about the huge ticket sales staff is the last few years I was a season ticketholder, the attention I received from the staff was nowhere near what it was the first 15-20 years..
  11. They do have a point especially with Pedro. What a phony. This guy might be worse than Terry Bevington. They got rid of LaRussa, and didn't upgrade. It boggles my mind how anyone would consider KW or RH for a personnel position ever again.
  12. I was thinking about getting White Sox plates last year, but it wasn't worth it, and the bag over my head gave away my allegiance anyway.
  13. I’ve never heard of a 1B/OF coach, but the White Sox have cornered the market on 1B/OF even if they really aren’t 1B or OF so it makes sense. Nevermimd, I get it now.
  14. So the Sox have abandoned the Royals, and are now going after Angels coaches.
  15. He was a great player until he started getting hurt. First pitch of the 2007 season he put it on the board vs. Contreras. It was a sign of things to come for the White Sox that season.
  16. Can they bring back Jimmy Rollins and Brett Lawrie?
  17. He’ll be good at showing guys how to get hurt.
  18. not counting the 60 game 2020 where he missed 11 games, TA missed 39 games in 2019, 39 games in 2021, 83 games in 2022, and 39 games in 2023. Kind of hard to change the game when you aren’t playing.
  19. He seems overmatchrd because he is.
  20. At this point, Slappy, Mike Caruso seems a better choice.
  21. Tyson obviously sucked, but really, what he's done as an undrafted free agent rookie, is pretty incredible. I'm not saying he's Peyton Manning, but his rookie QBR is very similar, even after yesterday.
  22. It's so funny he constantly says it's a tough business, you can't make any money, yet he won't sell because he'll make too much money.
