  1. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 06:49 PM) Ask yourself the question: would I write this if the team was winning? If your letter is out of frustration tear it up. It doesn't do anyone any good including yourself. Now if you have made several copies before settling on this letter then do what you feel you have to do. I am a frustarted Sox fan also, but I don;t have a problem with Ozzie. I have a problem though with non-performing ball players. But, relaistically is there anything that can be done with them until after the season? Yes. Some can be benched, others can be moved lower in the line up. If you want to win you do what you have to do. ARod was struggling for the Yankees during the WS one year. Torre moved him to the 8 hole. Why does Dunn continue to bat 3rd or 4th if the Sox are truly trying to win baseball games? He's one of the worst hitters in baseball. Move him down, if he snaps out of it, then move him back.
  2. As I stated in the gamethread, since the season is now 2/3 over, the fact that a guy with a .165 average who has a good shot at establishing a new MLB record for strikeouts in a season is STILL penciled in the clean up spot makes me wonder when winning will become priority number one again. And you are right, as a ticketholder for 22 seasons, this is the most frustrating of them all. I will not be renewing when in the past it was automatic. Failure to make changes whether just being stubborn or stupid is the final straw for me.
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 06:04 PM) I pretty much live in bucktown on the weekends, I hope I never run into him. Whether you like him as a manager or not, you would have to admit drinking with Ozzie would probably be a riot.
  4. I'm wondering if its considered derrogatory for Venezuelans to call someone Mexican. Ozzie once called himself a crazy Mexican, and now Jr. implies people are tough on his dad by calling him Mexican. It would be ironic if they were the ones using racial slurs. I don't have any idea. I will say, people saying they want Ozzie or his family dead even if joking is absolutely crossing the line as is anything ethnic or racial. To me, if you were going out to suck back some beers, Ozzie would be my #1 choice if I could choose anyone in the White Sox organization. I just think his time making out the line up card should be ova.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 04:27 PM) This is probably the first season in a long time I go into every game expecting us to lose. I wonder if I am alone in this feeling. Even with the great Ozzie Guillen pushing all the buttons?
  6. QUOTE (Wanne @ Aug 4, 2011 -> 03:14 PM) 1. Pierre, LF 2. Ramirez, SS 3. Konerko, DH 4. Dunn, 1B 5. Quentin, RF 6. Pierzynski, C 7. Beckham, 2B 8. De Aza, CF 9. Morel, 3B As long as Dunn is batting clean up, I take that as a sign White Sox wins aren't as important to the White Sox as they are to me.
  7. The only person I have ever seen refer to Ozzie as Mexican was Ozzie himself.
  8. CQ puts in on the board and the Sox have scored 6. Fire Don Cooper. Walker is doing a hell of a job tonight.
  9. Don't stop now boys. Another run and the deficit is back to single digits.
  10. QUOTE (Paulie4Pres @ Aug 3, 2011 -> 08:46 PM) A guy that defensive and that quick to throw insults at anyone that questions him, obviously cares what people think about him. I agree. Defensive was the word I was trying to think of.
  11. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Aug 3, 2011 -> 08:43 PM) I was being sarcastic, that was I brought up once and was blasted to death here, cause the stats and all that crap. That's my gripe with Lexi, the things that cost games that DON'T come in the stat book The bottom line is he should win the GG. He has the ability. He just needs to worry about making plays not anything else.
  12. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 3, 2011 -> 08:39 PM) He doesnt care about alot of things does he He's all talk. He cares about being fired. If he does get fired, he won't go quietly, and he's very concerned with what others have to say about him.
  13. 74,074.07 That's how much Alex Rios makes per game. Does it make anyone feel underpaid?
  14. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Aug 3, 2011 -> 08:39 PM) Hey he sould have won the gold glove.......... Perhaps, but he makes too many dumb plays that it cost him one last year. He has no chance this year.
  15. QUOTE (Paulie4Pres @ Aug 3, 2011 -> 08:34 PM) Dunn gets a curve right over the middle of the plate, and barely hits it out of the infield? I thought he had power? He put the ball in play both ABs tonight. Yet another Festivus miracle.
  16. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 3, 2011 -> 08:36 PM) Hey just remember everyone that Ozzie doesnt care if he is fired. Ozzie also doesn't care what people think of him, neither does his middle son.
  17. Alexei is another guy I think needs some criticism. He is talented and does make some spectacular plays, but he's also a p**** at times on the field, and makes some boneheaded decisions. If he'd keep his head out of his ass all the time, he could win a GG. He, also seems like the lauderers best friend as he makes a big effort to keep his uniform clean.
  18. We could really use some White Sox loafing right now. I think Ozzie is hoping for a close play and the call to go against the Sox so he would have a reason to get thrown out of the game right now.
  19. I will admit, this is fun bad.
  20. This Sox team needs some juice.
  21. I would tell Rios I don't care how hard you hit it, but I want to see you hit something to the right side that isn't a pop up.
  22. Is that the only place Rios can get a hit?
  23. C'mon Hawk, that pitch to AJ was a lot closer to a strike than the one Swisher was called out on.
  24. Considering how unwisely he has spent money the past couple of years, KW can't be very popular with JR's partners, but if they get rid of him and keep Ozzie, Ozzie will think he won and will become an even bigger jackass. They both must go.
  25. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Aug 3, 2011 -> 07:51 PM) Which position player pitches tonight? I say Dunn. He was a pretty highly ranked High School QB and definitely hits like a pitcher.
