Dick Allen

O'Reilly cracks me up. His show was on while I was working out last night. He starts going on and on about how the internet is basically destroying the world, then tells everyone about a nice conservative website to hit, then tries to hawk all his things on his own website and reads emails from viewers.

I hope the White Sox have their sights set a lot higher than Jerry Owens when they consider the 2008 starting CF.

I don't know if the negotiating is even legal with tampering rules. I don't know how it works with potential owners. It would seem to me the new owner probably won't be in place before this contract has to be signed, and I find it highly unlikely the rest of baseball's owners would find it too amusing someone they just approved signed a player to a $300 million contract. I'm calling this BS.

I past JR walking down the street at about 11:30 today. You would think he would have at least a little interest in watching the game. I figured the Twins must have been winning 5-0 in the first inning. I was shocked the Sox were leading 1-0 when I got home.

At this point, Josh Fields is a better LF than Bonds. Bonds is a DH. The Sox have a pretty good one. While Bonds probably will still put up decent numbers next year, he will be 44 and will most likely miss a lot of time. I have read that KW has known him since high school, but I just don't see it happening. The White Sox would be much better off spending the money it would take to bring him in on something else.

But its not a given that he improves or that he is in the 2008 rotation.

The pitchers have been better than good lately. Uribe and Richar have OPS in the 900s this month. Owens is getting more hits than you can expect. All the bigger bats have had some moments the past few weeks, and yet the team is still 9-9. I think more than a couple of tweaks have to occur for this team to pick up 20+ games on the leaders of the division. There's only so much even I can blame Andy Gonzalez for.
