  1. A bench bat becomes a middle of the line up player playing out of position in Tony's world.
  2. Right after the "oh we were so close to a crazy huge trade. We thought it was done. Jerry really stepped up with the OK with adding payroll."
  3. If you trade a guy but pick up all his salary, how does that work tax wise? Is that still counted as yours or the new teams's?
  4. Whether it is now or in the offseason, they need to do something about the offense. And they need some left handed hitters.
  5. It's depressing that it came to this so quickly without any postseason success. But Hahn not clearing out his better prospects for relievers who will have 6.00 ERAs or hitters who will have sub .600 OPS isn't a bad thing. Of course, if they are going to keep KW and RH and TLR on, it really doesn't matter.
  6. How many relievers could Hahn get for Montgomery?
  7. Sox leading HR hitter has 12. Aaron Judge has 10 the last 2 weeks. Mulitple championships. Yeah right.
  8. Doubt it. Usually with limited no trades, the teams on the list are the teams most likely to trade for him. Teams that don't take on money usually aren't on it. It really isn't about winning and losing usually. I bet most big money guys with limited no trades can be traded to Pittsburgh and Cleveland and Oakland.
  9. He's already won a game for the White Sox this year.
  10. He can probably be traded to all of those teams. The problem is none of them would ever agree to a trade for him.
  11. It's limited to 10 teams. He just tried to trade him to the wrong one. Of course, the 10 he chooses are the 10 most likely to pick up his contract.
  12. They are getting new ownership. New ownership usually either goes really cheap or goes on a crazy spending spree. I gues this means they can get away with cheap for a couple of years, then go nuts.
  13. And the bullpen will still be average at best.
  14. thas still a decent amount of change with only 6 or so paychecks remaining for a guy who has been a replacement level player for over a year.
  15. For some reason, KW thinks players may be willing to take tens of millions less to play for a team mired in mediocrity.
  16. Q signed for $2 million. RH paid VV $3 million. The old Nightengale tweet makes me laugh. The Sox were looking for Robbie Ray and Marcus Semien, yet wound up with VV and Big Energy.
  17. If Lance Lynn doesn't hurt his knee is spring training, they don't even sign Cueto.
  18. if the Sox are serious about winning, and adding today, if they don't address their offense, they are idiots;
  19. I voted yes it's salvageable but not with KW and RH and TLR, imo.,
  20. He's clearly still fucked up and Tony is trying to dance around simple questions.
  21. Its something we will never see under this regime. Trying to get as good as possible instead of just hopefully good enough. The White Sox owner and front office lack killer instinct. It is no wonder the team always lacks it as well. 2011 the slogan was we're all in. Compare that roster to some of these. These guys are still living off 2005. It's time to move on.
