QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) I know you didn't mean anything cruel. Everyone just needs to take a step back and realize how lucky he was that he didn't die. If you've ever sat in the front row of an upper deck, it's scary as hell when you look down. Thankfully, we didn't have a horrible tragedy occur. The kid wasn't the only lucky one. Whoever he fell on would have been in bad shape too.

Do you think the kid that fell is going to call his friends and tell them to watch for him on Sportscenter?

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 07:55 PM) I hope so, why the hell was Bobby warming up? Maybe if he needed him later that inning. If Hermanson is healthy, he is pitching the ninth.

QUOTE(winodj @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 07:50 PM) Wonder if he's gonna get arrested. Note to self: don't lean over at my next game. I doubt it. They are probably making sure he's OK, and probably want to know how it happened, like if someone pushed him.

QUOTE(winodj @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) s***, some kid fell out the upper deck and on to the net. Do you think George is going to send him the bill for the damage to the screen?

The bullpen has to be on tonight. I knew The Count should not have entered in the eighth. If he gets a no decision, I'm going to be pissed.

Considering how easy it is to run on Contreras, if anyone reaches he has to be pulled.

Count still in.

The Sox have blown too many opportunities tonight. Usually that comes back to bite you. Hopefully, not tonight.

With Politte warming right now, I would imagine the Count is going to be calling it a night.

Remember when Embree was on the White Sox? God did he suck.

QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 07:28 PM) I'm thinking the samething...he should be tossed... It has to be deemed intentional. It was not intentional.

That the way Pods, take one for the team.

This is exactly the kind of game KW built the bullpen for. Unless the Sox put a couple runs on the board in the top half of this inning, he should go to the pen in the bottom of the eighth.

That should be it for the Count. He's going to face these guys again next week and will have a lot of confidence with the way he pitched tonight.

Iguchi's homer is a fly out at USCF. Of course Rowand's double last night would have been long gone.

There should be double barrelled activity in the White Sox bullpen right now. The Count has been awesome, but can lose it very quickly.

He walks 2 guys in a row, Rowand won't let him walk him and Crede then pops up on the first pitch low and away. Crede needs to get his head cleared.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 06:34 PM) Anyone wanna compliment Jose on his stellar pitching thus far? I did earlier. He's been very sharp. I bet a lot of people thought he'd have a quick meltdown tonight.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 06:32 PM) He's thrown 69 pitches through 4.2 innings...at that rate he should be able to get through 7, or at least through part of the 7th. I don't think pitch count gets him. Its more a mental thing. I agree if he breezes through the sixth, bring him out for the seventh, but after that, if they string together a couple of hits, have someone ready.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) Good recovery by Pods on that ball. Either he got a bad jump or he was playing way too deep for Womack.

The Count has been sharp, but if I were Ozzie, I'd be really happy with 6 good innings tonight.

2 strikes on Crede. There's about a 90% chance of a k or pop out.
