  1. I was on an MLBTR chat and they were discussing the next Trout. No one mentioned Robert. When I questioned it, the dope said he had not shown he could make adjustments. I asked him if he saw his 2021 version vs. his 2020 version. No response. This guy, if he stays healthy, can be the greatest White Sox of all time. No question in my mind.
  2. He hopped of the truck yesterday fine. Lopez almost screwed himself up hopping off his truck. That has to be the dumbest idea having the players enter like that. It will end when someone gets hurt. It should end before someone gets hurt.
  3. Their tickets are so expensive, some long timers have dropped out just because of that. It's possible the list is that long, but if it is, they are people who when it's their turn to buy will pass.
  4. He was bad against RHP last year, but did improve toward the end. You don't put up the numbers Vaughn put up in college not being able to hit RHP. He will figure it out. But in order to do that, he will need to face them.
  5. I heard LaRussa on the radio on Sunday saying Pollock had a Grade 1 strain and was going to be out 10 or 11 days.
  6. As someone who has had season tickets for many years, once a full season, now a 20 game plan, it's been my experience the better the team, the worse the customer service, which if it was a choice, I would take the better team. When the team sucks, they get back to to right away. They have season ticketholder events, and give away gifts and things like free patio parties. One year we even got to take batting practice. Now you get nothing and like it.
  7. Good luck to Harry and a big thank you to the donor and the donors family.
  8. Considering how many teams had nothing to lose, color me shocked. I thought he might bounce to a couple of teams and then clear. Hopefully he makes the teams that passed regret it.
  9. It doesn’t matter if Pollock was a LF, CF, 3B…whatever. He was camped for that one and missed it. It happens, There are tons of HS kids who if they were in the same position, would have made the catch. If it were Eloy or Vaughn or Sheets, we would all be saying burn their gloves. Pollock isn’t Clemente out there, but he isn’t that bad. Just horrible timing to botch one.
  10. Iam was bad. Bummer was a bummer, but Pollock has to catch that. Except for not getting hurt, that was Eloy-esque
  11. It should be a routine play for anyone who plays in a league with a minimum salary of 700k.
  12. That's good to hear. Last time I went to Detroit was 2008. Stayed by Joe Louis Arena. Saw a Rush show, and then the Sox get taken apart by the Tigers. Downtown Detroit was a WTF? back then. I will have to return, although, I agree with an earlier post, I think their ballpark is nice, but a bit overrated.
  13. You would have to think so, although JR would have had to eat money, and RH knows, as someone who gets JR's lunch every day , he doesn't like to eat money. It's amazing Hahn and KW can't get a couple of some team's top 5 prospects for Micker. Total organizational failure.
  14. The season was over when Moncada hurt himself and can't stand up if he sneezes or laughs. Of course, after a few spring training ABs, it was rather obvious he is a shell of his former self, destined to be DFA'd.
  15. I usually am excited when Spring Training starts, then the Spring Training games start. With the lockout this year, it was just another day. But today is different. I am excited. Wish TA was playing, but beat the crap out of Detroit.
  16. I like Moncada the player. It just seems to be every time he has a minor tweak on the field, he makes it look like best case scenerio, he might be back next year.
  17. If he was legit, he would sneeze and not flinch. Anyone who thought Moncada could make it through the season without being injured was fooling themself. But you had to think he could make it to the season. The one thing about Yoan is I don't think he has a very high threshold of pain. If he cut his fingernail too short, he'd make it look like someone needed to roll an ambo.
  18. The DFA gives them a few more days to try to trade him, but yeah, getting someone serviceable would have been a miracle.
  19. It's at least better than the all in team with Navarro catching, 56 year old Jimmy Rollins at SS, Brett Lawrie at 2B, and Austin Jackson patrolling CF. You are right though, this team is going to have to score a ton of runs.
