  1. I have never met him, so I have no idea, but even if he is an oddball, it didn’t seem to effect the team when he was on the roster.
  2. I’m not too concerned with RF defense. The Sox won the WS with a bad defensive RF who was the WS MVP. With Robert in CF and Engel for late innings, i doubt A poor defender in RF, as long as the bat is really productive, is going to cost you wins.
  3. For some reason, I have a feeling the Sox are thinking of trading Eloy. I hope not. I think if he can play 150 games, he’s a 40 homer guy, easy.
  4. The one concern with Madrigal, and it is legit, is health, but even if he plays half the season at this point, he is far more cost effective than what he was replaced with. If JR starts throwing money around like he just won the Powerball, OK. But a Harrison signing tells me, he’s still looking for a bargain at TJMaxx.
  5. The team is still stacked and should win the division , and if not win the division, make the playoffs pretty easily. I would just like then to go for the jugular once in a while, instead of always settling for the just good enough. They have such an advantage in their division. They are the only team that doesn’t qualify for revenue sharing dollars. They should dominate year in and year out.
  6. You’ll be happy to note Stone mentioned a back up catcher several times during his Score appearance yesterday.
  7. Not really. They had Madrigal, a minimum guy doing a good job. Replaced him with a more expensive , less productive guy. Then replaced him with an even more expensive even less productive guy. I had no issue with the Sox acquiring Kimbrel. I did have a problem with them giving up Madrigal , and I mentioned it right away. It was going to cost you a lot more to get what he brought. It’s costing them a lot more for lesser players. I am assuming the Kelly signing means they have found a Kimbrel taker, but I would never have thought Harrison was their 2B solution, so that assumption may be wrong too. Except for2005, the only year the White Sox ever won a playoff series in 99.99% of the living populations lifetime, these type of signings have mostly blown up in their face. And it seems likely it will happen again. It would have been nice if when it was time for the rebuild, JR realized part of the problem was the guys whose decisions hardly ever seemed to work out, and hired someone else to give it a shot.
  8. Has Brett Lawrie’s feet healed yet?
  9. I'm pretty sure the Sox has something else in mind for 2B or they probably would have kept Cesar.
  10. Cesar Hernandez is a younger , cheaper, better player.
  11. He was even worse with Detroit in 2019.
  12. So you probably have the same source. Didn't the fraud suggest the Sox already had a trade set up for an Oakland pitcher several days ago?
  13. I could almost understand if he wasn't owed $24 million next year as well.
  14. MlBN cleared out their schedule for Free Agent frenzy. Now they run the same show 3 or4 times in a row.
  15. If he did, if looks like he picked them right back up.
  16. Almost 39 owed $48 million. That's about as big of a nothing burger there is.
  17. Whu would anyone want Cano?
  18. Then there should be plenty available for next to nothing during the season.
  19. I've heard that but it seems the Sox have had a tough time. The Braves won the WS trading for underperforming OF.
  20. As much as Conforto is a great fit, if the choice is him or a really good 2B, the 2B is my choice. Strong up the middle is nice. I also see no way Leury could play 150 games
  21. Another problem with trading Kimbrel is these teams have sold no tickets for 3 months. Historically, most teams payrolls go down after a longer work stoppage.
  22. He makes Lance Lynn look small.
  23. Stoney dashing all hope for a RF.
