I was never a fan of those uniforms. They always looked like space suits to me, but once every other week is OK. Adds a little color. Black, white and a touch of silver gets a little boring after a while, especially with a bad team.

Nike is taking over the uniforms next season so if they are going to make some sort of switch, now might be the time. But their current logo is so important to them, they ditched the sock on the road sleeve several years ago. I find it hard to believe that this thing makes it on a uniform. I have nothing against the black tops except that they wear them far too often.

If a guy is questionable getting on the White Sox roster, I really doubt anyone will eventually be too upset if he is claimed by another team. Year after year we hear about these guys who the White Sox can't keep and how they will regret it. It rarely happens. We were going to rue the day Jason Coats went to struggle with Tampa.

Maybe you give him a shot based on his AAA performance, but no conclusions could be made for what anyone does this month. 15 games are vs. teams far worse than the current White Sox. It's basically extended AAA.

A lot of season ticket renewals may hinge on Robert. If he came up and excelled, that would work out fine. If he doesn't get called up, the thought he will be in Chicago next year may get some who are on the fence to renew. He comes up and struggles, which is entirely possible and probably expected all things considered, they could cost themselves some renewels. The guy is a year removed from struggling in A ball. Fall League, A, AA, AAA...they would be justified giving him a break.

Hopefully it's a sign they are going to spend some money. It's not like the extra cash they collect, minus most likely more cancellations than new acccounts will mean much of a difference. But it does get the ball rolling. According to Forbes, massive profits the last few years, plus a new TV deal, plus most likely another 90 loss season seems like a weird time to raise prices. But they do have the next saviors in Robert and Madrigal and Kopech coming back. Maybe that will keep people interested. Plus the new 10 payment plan.

Makes me wonder what they will do if they ever get good. They will probably go nuts with increases.
