  1. A lot can be overcome if you are willing to be the high bidder. That is what Hahn can do. Supposedly Harper hated Philly, and Machado liked the east coast. Funny how offering the most money usually gets things done.
  2. Pretty easy. Plus click on your name, it will show posts. Nothing much baseball related, just complaining about other posts unless you are praising Rick Hahn.
  3. The internet is weird. Probably have posted that 100 times. b**** and moan about other posts countless times. Tell everyone how they are supposed to feel. Mock yourself, you are as big of a complainer as there is. And there you go, cesspool. Yet here you are.
  4. You probably complain about the internet more than anyone. Why do you continue to post? Seems you're a pot calling the kettle black. I find gamethreads a bit over the top, so I don't look at them much. Yet everything is weird, everything is crazy, but you keep looking at it. Do you get a badge for being an internet cop?
  5. Everyone knows twitter and the rest of social media is rather toxic when you are not perfect. Maybe Rick needs to stop reading twitter. Why is that not an option?
  6. Yes, but Rick Hahn hasn't done much to make people who get happy when the White Sox win, happy. He has contributed to the misery in a huge way. I have complained about people complaining, but at some point, they have a point. Rick needs to show people, not tell them. They need to get off of the 2005 gives them a lifetime pass BS. I just got an email from my rep concerning 2020 ticket renewal. Now bat flipping is excitement #1. On behalf of the White Sox, I want to thank you for your support so far this season. You have witnessed some exciting moments like TA's bat flip, Giolito's All-Star performance, and Eloy's major-league debut. Although 2019 isn't over yet, we are already excited about 2020!
  7. It;s not turning on the rebuild per se. It's everything that goes with it. Kopech is throwing a lighter ball 110 mph during an offseason and he winds up needing TJS. Gee, who would have guessed that. Give Ricky boy another year. A couple more injuries, that doesn't happen to other teams, give him until at least 2021. Trevor Rosenthal had TJ, he can still throw 100, but can't throw a strike. Does every expect Dunning, Kopech, Rodon, to come back like nothing happened? 30% of pitchers in MLB have had TJS. So it happening to White Sox pitchers shouldn't be a pity party. I still see a team that actually bats Jon Jay clean up. Sorry, I expected the rebuild to be a little farther along at this point, especially considering they traded 3 guys for a bunch of prospects, many that were considered major league ready at the time. We are still at a point where a ton has to go right. A ton. Eventually, they will get to the point they were earlier in Hahn's reign of terror, and will have to add major league pieces. Sorry if I am more than skeptical, but I am using past results as an indication of future results.
  8. The guy has been the GM for 7 years, they have never been .500. never finished closer than 16 1/2 games out of first place, are collectively almost 150 games under .500, and he's talking about twitter. He's a bright guy. There is a way to shut twitter up.
  9. We will see. To say Collins is a bust based on infrequent ABs many vs. LHP and saying other oranganizations would have changed his swing is silly. And I pointed out 2 guys who didn't change their swings with a team you mentioned and were let go for nothing. One did change his swing and became a huge force.
  10. Like Houton did with JD Martinez and AJ Reed. C'mon man.
  11. Considering the rosters this group has put together, it is appropriate they play a game in a makeshift minor league park. I feel for people going to the game. When it ends, 99% of the traffic is going to be going in the same direction.
  12. That place even with only 8k, is going to be a traffic nightmare.
  13. Exactly. JR is giving up a 35,000 plus gate for this, that won't move the needle of one person becoming a White Sox fan. I would imagine he would think this was a better idea if he was the visitor.
  14. Quick, tell me the names of the teams that participated in that Little League stadium game a couple of years ago. I don't think the Sox will be much of a boost in fandome because they played a game in a cornfield where a movie was shot that a good percentage of their target audience wasn't born when it was made and/or has never seen it.
  15. I've never seen the whole thing either. Just put a few rows of corn in the OF concourse and play the Yankees at home. Does anyone really care about playing on a fake field from a movie 30 years ago? If the Sox are actually good next year, they are sacrificing a huge gate for nonsense.
  16. So you want the guy who is worse offensively and defensively because it will save $ 3 million? Do you really think that savings would improve a higher end free agent or trade target choice. There will be plenty of options. I don't want either to come back. But injuries happen. They need someone who can be reasonably expected to fill in for a week or two and not be a black hole.
  17. You will mind having him around as soon as he reverts to Ryan Goins at the plate. And he isn't exactly stellar all over the infield. I think they can do better.
  18. Goins is 31 and has a career .618 OPS. If somehow the Sox think he is a bench piece moving forward, he'll be the favorite to be the first player next year we will be calling to be DFAd.
  19. Considering the teams he has played for, you can say the same for anyone who has done well. One thing you should keep in mind, just because Ron posts it doesn't mean it's true. He's not the internet.
  20. I think what ultimately matters is what Jason Kinander and his sources think. He is on fire. He almost got one right recently.
  21. Why are they talking about Cabrera and the HOF? He is undoubtedly a first ballot selection.
  22. Sometimes it’s hard to believe I am watching a major league game.
  23. Detroit and KC are so bad. Cleveland is nearing the end of their run. Minnesota is good but Cruz is 39, and I doubt they keep hitting homers at this current rate beyond this season. It won’t take a great team to compete. It’s time for “a great lossy for the rebuild” to be put to bed. If next year is a real struggle, I think they are going to really take a hit support wise.
  24. Hector is left handed can still get it up to 95, is willing to start, relieve, work long or short, and willing to pitch in the minors. And he is supposed to be a really good guy. He will be able to find a job until he needs surgery.
