  1. I can't believe it was Pence directly, way too dangerous for someone who thinks God told him he would be President., but I can believe it was someone either he or his minions put up to the task. It would be far more entertaining if it came out it was Jared.
  2. The popular opinion is his splitter is what is causing his elbow issues. Maybe he ditches it when he is able to pitch again. And now maybe we see why he jumped to the US even though he wouldn't get paid. He probably figured this was around the corner and would have suppressed his contract anyway.
  3. I don't get it, a Supreme Court nominee, and people are hiding things. I love when these types rip others patriotism.
  4. The White Sox have been beneficiaries of "cheating". Josh Paul didn't muff the strikeout to AJP in the ALCS in 2005. And Jermaine Dye wasn't HBP to load the bases for Paulie in the 2005 WS. It's whatever you can get away with, unless you are playing golf.
  5. The Sox have played 20 consecutive days. They wanted to get the game in, so they could enjoy a full off day today. And the delay was barely longer than most half innings. He didn't have it. It doesn't matter. None of these games matter. Hopefully he gets his arm conditioned for the extra time next year, and hopefully they will need it. Personally, I don't think the kid is a 200 inning pitcher yet, and think it will be a while before he is.
  6. In golf he would be an ass. But this is pretty awesome, especially considering the ball he had was rubber.
  7. Since becoming President, and unlike Obama, not having time to golf, Trumps golf outings have cost US taxpayers $77 million including over $300k in Mar a Lago cart rentals for the Secret Service.
  8. I caught a ball at a game a couple of weeks ago. The first thing I noticed was how slick the ball seemed. I don’t blame pitchers for using pine tar.
  9. I can’t believe the ultimate plan is to have this guy sit at 93-95 when he’s got what he’s got. It has to be an issue where he isn’t used to still pitching or making as many starts. Coopers biggest success story was Matt Thornton who he turned around in one bullpen session. He didn’t have him throw 93-94. When Father Time made his velocity disappear, he became meat.
  10. Kopech vs. Otani would be an interesting match up.
  11. What is the over/under for innings played before the delay?
  12. A fan was kicked out of the stadium in Houston for having a sign with a domestic abuse hotline phone number on it. Don’t want to make your wifebeater closer uncomfortable.
  13. Normally when Gio is good in the first inning, he has a pretty nice game. Not tonight.
  14. I get that, but if he's that inept, they should be letting people know, not the total cover the GOP is doing for him, a guy who isn't even Republican. BTW, the Trump/Woodward call is just what you expect. A guy with apparently no clue basically calling himself the greatest POTUS in history, and not understanding how, even though it was explained to him several times, he wasn't interviewed for Woodward's book. I
  15. Yes. I have no doubt if the White Sox were in playoff contention, Eloy would have been up. But the stars aligned to do what they are doing. That's why I have always said every team in their position would do what they are doing.
  16. Mack is on the 1st team on the official depth chart for Sunday. Roquan is listed as a back up.
  17. Running the Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs, and Dodgers is a pretty different game than running most of the rest of the league. I really doubt if Dombrowski was running the White Sox, he would give up the extra year of control right now for some September meaningless games.
  18. The other thing to keep in mind, if somehow the grudge thought was true, the odds of RH, KW, and JR being around in 2025 when it would be time for him to cash in on that grudge, is pretty small.
  19. Super 2 cutoff is usually around 65 days. Even longer than holding out Eloy now, and 2 weeks of next season for the extra year. And it's limiting their income by choice. Something you have stated is a no no.
  20. Why won't you answer the Super 2 question?
  21. There was no way I was going to vote for Rahm anyways. But there is no one else I want to vote for yet either.
  22. I like the current logo better, but I think for that chain, the old one works a little better. It's a bit loud and obnoxious.
  23. Would a player of Eloy's status given the opportunity to write something, actually say he wasn't ready? Of course he thinks he's ready. So do I. That's not the point. The point is there is a business side to this.
  24. Rahm will not seek re-election. Good, he sucks.
  25. The 2 most angry White Sox since JR took over IMO were Carlton Fisk and Jack McDowell. Fisk played until he was 45, and McDowell comes back here all the time, and would have come back to pitch for the White Sox had his body cooperated. This is part of the game, just like all rookie contracts. Again, you are for holding down guys so they don't get to Super 2. How is that not limiting their income and something that shouldn't piss them off? It's taking advantage of the loopholes provided, just like these players and their agents do whenever they get the chance. I think anyone who really thinks Eloy now has a grudge against the team is just speculating. I am of the believe he knew, and his agents are just being agents.
