  1. Sosa had a hot streak and has been pretty bad outside of it. But I still don't understand in the Sox current situation, why you would rather give ABs to Senzel and not Sosa.
  2. Lee becomes the primary catcher just as his OPS tumbles almost below .600. Sosa and Mendick gone, two others Stome and the Schriff couldn’t praise enough.
  3. How are they going to spin this in the broadcast booth? They always told us how valuable he is, now they will pay him to sit on his couch and eat sausages .
  4. The parking lot attendants do suck.
  5. yeah buddy. Que the fireworks.
  6. It is, but haven't they tortured Sox fans enough? Now we get to watch this dope? No hit, no field, never healthy, owed minimum, that's a 4 tool player under the White Sox model.
  7. He can’t hit. He can’t field. He can’t stay healthy. A White Sox trifecta.
  8. Maybe if mini golf became an event.
  9. Jason away from Steve is about as good as it gets.
  10. Schriffen would be a lot easier to listen to if the team was at least average. There isn't anything regarding the White sox he doesn't try to sell at less than elite. But I do think a lot of his schtick I would find enjoyable if the team was good. He reminds me of that Bear a few years ago who did a sack dance when they were down 40, and messed up his knee. A sack dance, a bat flip, all that stuff is great when used when its supposed to be used. But it looks so amateurish when used incorrectly. One article I read did point out he was at ESPN for years, and it wasn't like he was getting plum assignments. He wasn't getting fired either . So he probably isn't awful. 27-71 doesn't help. But just about every game there's something you can tell he needs to work on.
  11. He struck the 1-1 guy out 3 times. Health going forward is all that really matters. If he has it, he's a stud. If he doesn't, well...................College hitters couldn't touch him in the zone.
  12. You look at Smith and figure this is a guy who could probably be picked 1-1 some years. His only question is he doesn't pitch a lot of innings.
  13. Every GM JR has hired, had never been a GM before. I think, and I may be way off, it’s because JR fancies himself the de facto GM, and wants someone who will just be grateful. He had trouble with Larry Himes, the guy who might have been his best. Set the team up for a great run, but was fired because JR didn’t like him. Larry probably told him to butt out. Even Hahn supposedly tried to quit after JR pulled rank, and he was told he would be held to his contract, so no pay and no work. Too bad, maybe a divisional foe would have hired him. I think that’s why Getz has the job he has never deserved, and shows this almost every day.
  14. This guy is nice. The swing and miss numbers are off the charts.
  15. Schriffin couldn’t get there in time.
  16. The college ball was juiced this year.
  17. Since you like what ifs, what if JR did a real GM search and hired the best candidate instead of keepin a yes man. Do you think they would currently have less than 71 losses?
  18. And now he’s calling for one to be DFAd.
  19. Probably not, but over 60, still hitting 100 easy.
  20. He’s very similar to Chris Getz. Maybe he’ll be the Sox GM some day.
  21. Why? The 3 musketeers will be back together soon.
  22. The broadcast making excuses is ridiculous. If he’s really fatigued, why the f*** is he pitching?
  23. Like Jerry said, can’t waste a year.
