  1. He didn't do anything but go hitless like the rest of the Sox starting line up. Pedro, per usual just takes it out on rookies.
  2. I’m guessing what will happen today is both Lee and Ramos will be out of the line up. Pedro can go back to using youngsters as an example while giving vets a free pass.
  3. This is really something Pedro should have said literally 200 games ago. So I doubt it will do any good. I think he sees the writing on the wall, and this was his break the glass move.. He’s soon a goner. They will say it’s not his fault but something needs to be done. But there is plenty of blame he should take.
  4. Pedro throwing a Hail Mary! He’s right, but he’s ignored it for a season and a third.
  5. In the AL, there is only 1 team farther out of first place than the White Sox are out of 4th.
  6. Schriffen can’t get over that interference call the other night. He has mentioned it at least 3 times today. He needs to look at the bright side. Yeah, it clearly cost the Sox a shot at the playoffs, but it basically locked in the #10 pick.
  7. Anyone else get the feeling when Schriffen starts quoting players, and coaches, and the rest, he makes up at least half of it?
  8. It’s not even June and the Sox are 10 1/2 out of 4th place. Fire this bozo.
  9. Rule 6.01(a) seems to support that: "A runner who is adjudged to have hindered a fielder who is attempting to make a play on a batted ball is out whether it was intentional or not." But a source told ESPN's Jesse Rogers that MLB reached out to the White Sox after the game to say the umpires do have discretion on that play and that interference didn't have to be called.
  10. Maybe it does. Pedros last 7 seasons, 2 partials seasons and already over 200 games under .500. Fire this loser. 15-36 61-101 65-97 74-88 26-34 59-103 58-104
  11. The odds of that play occurring are so crazy, and to end a game? It probably has never happened before, and may never happen again.
  12. Turns out it wasn't. Bonilla was owed around $6 million when the Mets let him go. To get him off the books, they agreed to 25 $1 million deferred payments. The $6 million went off their books, they then bought a high paying annuity with it. Of course they bought the annuity from Bernie Madoff.
  13. When it happened Gordo said it looked like a 6 week hammy to him., he's probably right, and probably got into a little trouble for saying it on the White Sox State TV airwaves.
  14. The relative ease of the catch had nothing to do with it because Vaughn was called out when the umpire though he saw him interfere, which was way before that. The fielder obviously didn't know the rule or he wouldn't have taken a step around him, he just would have plowed into him, and no one would be arguing the call now. But, the ease of going around him, should have come into play here. Did he really "interfere"? Not really., which brings it back to use some common sense. Vaughn is required to get out of the way. But the odds of the pop up being where it was with the SS being where he was to where Vaughn was, has to be greater than the White sox current World Series odds.
  15. The ball isn't dead with IFR is called. Runners can advance.
  16. It could matter. If he couldn't get to the ball and it got away, the runners could advance. By the letter of the law, it was called correctly. It's Vaughn's responsibility to get out of his way, whether he sees the guy or not makes zero difference. From a common sense angle, it was bad. The guy sidestepped Vaughn and had no issue getting to the ball. I don't think the Orioles would have put up any stink if it wasn't called. They were supposedly emphasizing interference calls this year, but I think from fielders interfering with baserunners. I wonder if that had anything to do with this being called. The effect of the "interference" reminds me of several years ago when catchers set up blocking a part of home plate and runners weren't even close to them, were out by 30 feet and then called safe because of interference. Common sense should come into play. That all said, it's still very unlikely it cost the Sox the game.
  17. It’s lame but it’s technically the right call. It doesn’t matter if Vaughn didn’t see him, he got in his way.
  18. Schriffen is really saying Pham is getting others to take their game to another level. Who John? I want to like Schriffen so much, but he’s a joke.
  19. I bet they were going to be bad. But this bad? If the plan was To be the worst team in baseball with the 10th at best pick, MLB should demand JR sell. Fire Pedro tonight to show you care a little bit.
  20. Getz was on, seems happy. Listen to Schriffen, everything is all peaches and cream. They lose Pedro says flush it. When is someone going to be embarrassed?
  21. Plus he’s admitted he’s not about developing players. He’s about winning Major League Baseball games. 60 under shows what he is about and what he may have a skill at, are two very different things. He’s a cooler. Get him away from the organization.
  22. I’m trying to figure out what has changed the last couple weeks where the Sox seem now committed to Nastrini taking his lumps. Why weren’t they last week? Will they still be if he has another start like the last 2? It doesn’t make any sense to me.
  23. He shagged her baby. He shagged her rotten.
