I live about 5 miles north of the park so I don't know if the weather would have been the same, but if it was there like here, they definitely would have Ben able to play up until now with no stoppage. It is drizzling so it would have Ben miserable but playable.

I wonder if their new son is a born leader.

So Adam Eaton, the current lead off guy is hitting .450 with a .500 OBP. The team is 4-2. Why do the Sox need a new lead off hitter?

KC Johnsons article today suggests Gar or Px or Hoiberg getting waxed probably isn't going to happen. They now believe they kept the roster, the championship roster, intact one year too long. KC thinks the change will be Randy Brown going back into the front office, he says the players think he's Gar's spy. He also suggests a younger roster next year.

Everyone is so upset with Danks. The Sox scored 1 run, that means to win he would have had to give up 1 run or less which Sale, Quintana, and Rodon also failed to do. Teams lose baseball games. Even great ones lose more than 60.

If this was 20-25 years ago, his career as anything but a DH might be in question, but I think he will be OK. I hate the Cubs, but this is not happy news for me. I hope he recovers fully. It is the 25th Anniversary of the park. Maybe they are trying to re-create the 16-0 shellacking the very first game of the park. Black Jack was awful.

Fisk tore his knee up in 1974. They have better surgical techniques and rehab now than back then. He played another 20 years. So catching should be fine from a knee perspective, but if his bat is that valuable, unless he is a top of the line defensive guy who handles pitchers really well, why have him take the beating?
