QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 05:42 PM) Rose is expiring, his value is freeing up the cap space plus potentially a pick. Rose got better and better as the season went on. Given where the cap is, they can move him and cap space is a valuable asset. The bulls are screwed cap space is fine but nobody is coming here and every team will have space. The bulls will be in the lottery for at least the next fouryears .

This is where a good bat on the bench would come in handy to pinch hit. -
QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 09:44 AM) Rodon on the mound hasn't had the "lose your cool" moments due to a bad walk, etc, that we see from Sale. That's nice to see as I thought he had a reputation for getting over worked up on the mound. That is exactly what I was thinking while watching.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 07:40 PM) Sands vs RHP is just dumb I really see no point to him. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 07:03 AM) It has been slow, but irresistible to watch. This episode was a great payoff. Mike could/should have have his own spinoff. Jesus so could Gus

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Apr 12, 2016 -> 08:13 AM) The number of rebuilding clubs is crazy, but the Central is still potentially a dog fight. The Cubs, however, still look like the division is theirs. There is something about Pittsburgh I like more than the cubs.

The White Sox need a defensive outfielder and base running threat. They do not not Sands or Shuck for that matter as neither are much better then Melky in any aspect and Melky is the guy they need to replace.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 04:39 PM) Yeah until you link to the boxscores of all these numerous leads Quintana has blown, I'm not buying it. I think he throws too many pitches and does not go deep enough into games as much as he should. It is valid argument it is not like he said he stinks just that the woo is me thing is a bit of his own doing. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 04:33 PM) Ummm....you were the one confused that Hawk was in the booth, and you answered your own question The original post seems to make much more sense now......... -

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 04:27 PM) Quintana needs to now have an easy inning without giving anything back. or walk the lead off hitter and give the runs right back..... -

Who knew House of Cards on Netflix would be a foreshadowing of these events.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 10, 2016 -> 10:39 PM) Yup. They have a tougher road to get there. They have some teams to feast on but it's no cake walk. The top of the NL is tougher than the AL but the AL is much deeper than the NL.

Well when they don't hit all weekend they can at least blame the weather. -

Garcia sucks and should not be on a major league roster Giving Jackson the day off is fine but do it when Shuck can play RF and Melky in LF at least give yourself a chance I really wonder sometimes if the White Sox think Garcia is a good outfielder like when they acquired him and their scouts felt he could play center field. Whoever that was better be out of a job. -

Would love for one of Abreu, Cabrera or Garcia to not suck today. Compared to the other two Abreu has at least gotten on base but he has had some horrendous at bats as well and needs to be better. -
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 12:33 AM) Is it me or does he look heavier? I thought he looked more fit actually. Quintana needs to go deeper into games.

How about an easy inning for once........not too much to ask is it.

Hawk was good until he lost the ability to be impartial in any way shape or form and then began just saying things that were flat wrong and stupid. Last year in game one he felt he White Sox had the best defensive outfield in baseball and was telling the viewer how incredible their base running was going to be because of Vince Coleman. Anyone that has watched baseball had to have known that an outfield with Avasail Garcia in it was going to be bad. He adds nothing to the broadcast any longer.

QUOTE (Tony @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 03:44 PM) I can promise you if the Cubs disappoint next season, I can already hear someone like Silvy on the radio saying "Alright Joe, enough with all the antics in spring, it's about winning now, cut the crap and lets get to baseball, not baby bears." If they start out slow this year you will hear it.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 11:42 AM) I should point out, I'm not a fan of either of them, but I always had an opinion that while I disagreed with Ted, I at least could commend him for sticking to his core principles, etc. This would be a big game changer in that arena. What's next, Bernie is having an affair with Melania Trump? I'd vote for Bernie if that was the case.

QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 02:46 AM) Hoiberg has an excuse because this (basically the same) roster quit on Thibs last season. Not saying that's a legit excuse, but I do believe that's why he's escaped some of the heat he probably deserves. Gar Forman has to be fired this offseason. This roster is absolute s***. How did the roster quit last year? If Pau does not get hurt there is a good chance they beat he Cavs. Hoiberg and Gar should both be shown the door and not certain how Paxson stays.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 10:14 AM) When the news first broke, I had all the respect for LaRoche for being able to walk away like that. That respect has been diminishing daily when you see stuff like this. They should be embarrassed. I had no real opinion of Laroche until this issue I think he is actually a dick and feel less of fan of eaton and Sale for defending him.

QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 03:44 PM) Nice play by Avi going into the gap for a backhander. Danks looks ok, the little I've seen. and now a round trippper to boot......
