Cabrerra can not hold Uribe's jock defensively. Going to be a long day. -

QUOTE (Karko's Throat Skin @ Aug 2, 2008 -> 02:36 PM) OC is a gold glove winner and while Uribe's arm is fantastic...he has a knack for making bone headed plays. Gold Glove means absolutely nothing. Based on what I have seen from Cabrerra this year I put him closer to Jose Valentin than Juan Uribe. -

There seems to be something wrong mentally with Cabrera or is he just stupid. With how slow Butler is there was no reason to not make that play. I think I may hate him more than any player in White Sox history. -
All I gotta say about last night's game was Juan Uribe stood on his head (hockey quote for you southern folk) at third base. There is a part of me that is really liking what I see in him as a defensive utility guy same as Anderson/Wise. My apologies to Javier for calling him a wilting flower. Pulling from another thread he gets killed when teams go the other way that was how he gave up the two runs. Carrasco made it scary and the offense was pretty sad. Dotel and Jenks looked fine. Griffey in an interview on CSN sounded like he was getting worked over (in a fun way) when he joined the team. Dye may end the career of Orlando Cabrerra one of these days with his bulls*** antics. I for one would have no problem with it.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 1, 2008 -> 03:34 PM) Now that is funny. Spelling, typing and grammar errors are never funny my good man

QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 1, 2008 -> 02:18 PM) The two times I wore it to a game # 1 http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/wrap....me&c_id=cws Swisher hit a HR from both sides of the plate # 2 http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/wrap....me&c_id=cws Swisher hit a grand slam. So to answer your question, no. Write Nick and inform him of this situation and see if you could travel with the team. Kind of like when Iguchi had an interpreter I was only kidding by the way.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 1, 2008 -> 01:14 PM) just not awesome for the authentic $200 Swisher #30 Jersey I purchased in May Aren't you embarassed to be seen wearing that now anyway?

QUOTE (JFields27 @ Aug 1, 2008 -> 01:26 PM) Tallon, Bowmans, and McDonaugh of the Blackhawks are in the Cub seats today For some reason the McDounogh fawning over the cubs is getting to me. I understand that is the disposable income market they are looking for I just get the feeling that old school Sox fans are Hawk fans and old school cub fans are hillbillies that can only afford to back one team, the cubs. No reason for this line of thinking whatsoever.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 08:32 PM) nice play Juan. Anyone that thinks at this point in time at this juncture in the season with the way the pitchers are getting hit around that thinks Josh Fields should be playing before Juan Uribe does not know baseball. I hate OC. -

I am really starting ot dislike this team due to OC, Swisher and Konerko. The pitching is making it even harder as they will proceed to get lit up in beautiful Kauffman stadium. -

White Sox pitchers are afraid of the Twins hitters that is about all I can think of. -

Fields should not be playing in a game with a four run lead either I do not care what inning it is. The advance scouting of this team is horrendous to nonexistent. -

I am sorry but White Sox pitchers need to avoid the huge inning. Thought it was 5-4. -

QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 08:42 PM) Hawk is in love with Carlos Gomez. I had to mute the tv. The guy is hitting .350 against the Sox and under .250 against every other team. Something is wrong as he and Esteban German should not give the Sox the fits they do. -

They need almost play scary close for Gomez at third and take that away. -

Hawk really loves Konerko, Swisher and Thome and will finish in last with those guys rather than make a move. That was why he was a horses*** GM. Anyone recall June of 2005 when Crede was a better player than A Rod. -
The Red Sox paying his whole salary and the Dodgers giving nothign up is huge for them. The Dodgers have sixty million doller defenseless outfield in Manny, Pierre and Jones.

Ken Griffey Jr. + Cash to the White Sox
Harry Chappas replied to joejoesox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Is Griffey in center any worse than Bernie Williams final days. The thing is that Griffey may have lost a step but he still should be able judge and move on a ball better than swisher. If you listen to some folks you would think the Sox were going to be moving Dye to center. -
QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 01:24 PM) No I mean released, he has no value whatsoever. From Rotoworld; Well now I know it is BS. Jessie Rogers sourcesare about as good as mine. I miss Steff on days like today.

Ken Griffey Jr. + Cash to the White Sox
Harry Chappas replied to joejoesox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This Murph fellow really hurts my ears. This move is low risk high reward all of the way. Richar was without a position at AAA where was he going to play next year. Massett was a DFA waiting to happen. If Griffey blows out his knee getting off he plane what is the big deal. Herm'll work his magic there is a nice rotation of vets everyone plays cards in the clubhouse.... Imagine the story if Thome and Griffey finally get their rings......Joe Buck just wet himself. Also per ESPN the Sox are paying half of the remaining salary and half of the buyout. -
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 12:46 PM) I was just in the car for 10 minutes getting lunch and Murph talked about Lannan 3 times with Rogers Sorry I ran out to get lunch and forgot I had done this while eating and typing. My head hurts I gotta get some work that pays done. Please disregard me.
